will one annual passport work for large group on discounts

Will be going to Disney land in December. There will be 7 adults and 3 kids if I get myself an annual passport can I user that for the entire group for discounts at stores and restaurants as long as I am the one paying with my credit card or cash. Everyone else would just have 5 day park hoppers we plan on doing several character meals and other sit down restaurants while there. Does the discount work at all restaurants and merchandise shops in Disneyland and California adventure.

Yes, you can apply your discount to the entire party, as long as you are the one to pay. Different passes have different discounts...I know the premium is 20% off merch and 15% off food. The only places that do not accept discounts are outdoor vending carts, which includes Cozy Cones, at least IME

We did Surfs Up a couple weeks ago ( 6 & 3 )and it worked fine. Just watch with a group that big in a restaurant as they might add the tip into the bill.

Sorry to step in, but what about for tours? If I have an AP but the rest of my family doesn't, can I book and pay for the tour and get a discounted rate for everyone?

Yes, as long as you are the one paying. You only need one AP for the discount.

No, you do not receive a discount everywhere...but most places, you do. As someone else mentioned, most of the carts do not offer discounts. Some shops (the magic shop on Main St, for example) do not offer discounts.

Many of the restaurants in Downtown Disney *do* offer discounts. I always forget to ask when I'm dining there, as we aren't in the parks.

ALso, the ice cream stores (Clarabelle;s in DCA and Gibson Girl on Main ST) do not offer a discount.

The stores that are not owned by DIsney will not have discount (ie Crystal Arts). We simply ask everywhere. Most places are good to go. For DTD, check the Disneyland.com/ap for discounts.
