Memory maker was easy to use and I had no problems getting my photos. However, when it was all said and done there were only about 3 pictures I care to keep. The ride photos didn't turn out well and we didn't do character meet and greets. Next time I'll just do photo pass and pay for the individual pictures that I want. Should save about $100 that way.

Am sorry to hear that. Very frustrating putting out that kind of money to only get 3 good pictures. Did you stop at many photographers and hit different parks? We got about 270 pictures over 5 days, but stopped whenever we saw them. Yeah, we did have a few character meet and greets as well as BBB to get a bunch... and had ones taken again at MNSSHP, but still got some great family shots at different spots (and with all 4 of us). Don't think we'd purchase it a second time if we were to return to Disney but for us, was good to do once. A shame it wasn't worth it for you.

If you haven't downloaded the pictures yet and call they may refund you and just let you buy the individual photos you like.

Or, if you are planning to go back, just leave the MM on the account....it will be there for the next time.

We took 1-2 sets of family photos in each park. I think we would've gotten more out of it if my daughter was little and wanting to meet princesses like our last trip. You can only pose in front of the castle so many times. My daughter either had her head buried or the person in front of her was holding up their arms and covering her face in every single ride photo.

Yeah, totally get what you mean with only being able to take so many infront of the castle. Am surprised at the photographers that they didn't see that your daughter's face couldn't be seen. They should have noticed that. I agree with others...give them a call, and for sure mention that last point as part of your defense.

That stinks. It's always a gamble really. We've gone to just buying the pictures a la carte and I just pick one or two family pictures that I really like. I take enough of the kids, but I do appreciate being able to buy one or two that has all of us in them as well.

we just got back from our first trip to Disney and I was very pleased with MM and we downloaded well over 100 really good photos....I would do it again in a minute

She was seen in the ones they took, but not on the rides.

I will do photo pass next time and bypass the memory maker fee. I downloaded 47 pictures but really don't need more than 3 of them to keep. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things but maybe small families who don't do meet and greets might want to consider all a carte. My family also had no patience with stopping to take the photos so I didn't get more than 1 shot out them most days.

I have about 250 pics... the cool part was while they took the pics I videoed the interactions with characters so now I have a fun video collage im putting together of our trip

We had over 500 in 5 days. Some great ones. Pretty sure its refundable until you download one. If you won't get your money worth, refund and do individuals.

Didn't know that and already downloaded. Not a big deal, just a lesson learned. Looking how to save money on our next trip since my family is pressing to go int 2 years instead of 4 like I planned. Hoping to trim $1000 off the budget for next time when all said and done.

As long as you haven't downloaded any photos, you can get a refund on your MM and simply purchase the photos you want to keep.

I got Memory Maker this trip, but we loved it. Very easy to use, and out of the 200+ photos we got, we'll probably print the majority of them. However we did have a baby who was adorable with the characters, and that's what most of the photos we're interested in are, as well as a couple ride photos that turned out really well.

I plan on using it again next year for my and my boyfriend's first trip together.

Next time just hand the photographer your camera. That is what I have always done. We just got back from WDW yesterday. I have so many great photos on my camera that the photographers took and it didn't cost me a thing :) I only encountered one photographer that didn't really want to use my camera. She only took one. All the others took 4-5 photos with my camera. I then let them take some with their camera. I do plan on buying a couple of the magic shots.

We do the regular photopass. If we like a ride photo then we buy it.However,we have a very nice Nikon camera and as long as you set it for them the photopass people will use you camera. They actually do a good job and dont mind.A couple of them even gave me pointers with my camera!

We tend to get it, but that's primarily because we collect ride photos. We've created several collages over the years with the kids at various ages---and not just at Disney, but at lots of different theme parks. And, with a family of four, some attractions require two photos to get all of us.

If you don't want every single last ride photo and/or are not doing a ton of character meet-n-greets, it's probably better off to just pay for the few you really want.
