Will my old Pal mickey work? How do I know what version he is?

I was just getting a little concerned after reading a few posts about old Pal Mickey. I bought one from the Disney Character warehouse for 27.99 plus 10.95 shipping, but got to thinking--how does he work? Do I take him somewhere to get an update when we walk in the parks? I was also wondering, how you know what version I have. I think counting the new special edition, they have come out with 3 total. Any help is appreciated!

It doesn't matter which version you have. Just make sure you have his nose pointed forward when you walk through the turnstyles and make sure he has fresh batteries for the trip. The sensors in his nose will download all the info. If there are any changes in the info it will be in the transmitters not in the Mickey, so he will get the new info every time you go.

I have the same Mickey from the Character Outlet and he worked great in February. Hope you have fun with him.

Wanted to add that if you do have any trouble with him, you can take him into any store that sells Pal Mickeys and they will help you. We brought two and one wouldn't upload the info and it turned out his batteries weren't as fresh as his brother's. The CM was very helpful.

I just wanted to add, that he's not worth taking to downtown Disney. I took him, and he told me 2 jokes in the stores, that was it.
