Will my 02-UK phone work in america?

Hey, im just trying to find out will my 02-UK phone work in america with out having to be unlocked? Its my first time going over so al help is appreciated!

If it's a Tri-band or Quad-band phone then yes, it will work in the US.

I would ring and ask if international calling bar has been lifted. Last few I have had from Vodafone have been ready to use abroad but DS's phone on Three network still has it on, as we found out at Easter, I need to ring and get it lifted before August.

I don't use ours in US, too expensive. Just have it for emergancies and the odd text.
We use laptops for any calls, video calls, messaging etc. Free from many hotels, $10/24 hours in Disney.

just phone o2, my phone is quad band and will work, they have arrangments made with other networks out there! he take give me a tip tho, he said to send picture messages if im textin as the picture messages are 25p and normal text messages are 49p! so theres a tip for anyone else going over!

You on Pay as you go? then you are correct 49p & 25p
If on pay monthly then 25p for either.
