will MMRR take away from SDD and/or MFSR rope drop lines?

opinions?
Will be there next week, was going to skip ropedropping SDD ...unless MMRR alleviates the crowd a bit

No, I believe it will essentially balance and stay the same. People with SDD FP+ will Rope Drop MMMR and people with MMRR FP+ will Rope Drop SDD. As always you will have Star Wars people focusing on MF:SR if they don't have a FP+ for it and Rope Drop something else if they do have a FP+ for it.

MMRR will obviously act as an additional line gobbler but crowds are so high in mornings that it will not change it enough to feel like one ride is much quicker.

I don’t really think it will in any real noticeable difference. There are now three tier 1s in HS, (right?). So it’s one of the tier 1s and anybody who wants to ride without a FP will have to rope drop it.

I don't think RD anything at DHS will be sane(ish) until after boarding groups stop being a thing...

My plan (going to be there on 3/15) is to rope drop MMRR (I didn't get a Fastpass for it for either of my HS days) because I think it's going to stay relatively busy all day long and I'd rather just get it done first before my 9:10 FP kicks in for TSM.

Probably not much difference the first week - due to increased crowds, but should offer a little bit less when crowds normalize. Logically, if you have 10,000 people there are rope drop, splittling them between 4 rides will cause lower lines than splitting them between 3. But again - what you may see on any given day and at a given ride is a crap shoot. Also - 5 minute difference in arrival time on any day could make a large difference. Lots of variables here that are easier to answer in the aggregate but that may not match up with your experience at a given time.

Happy to update that today SDD was a joke compared to last year. I was 5 back from the tapstiles and it was a leisurely walk back to SDD: front 2 rows on first ride (&BG25). Now part of this may have been that MMRR opened at 7ish???...would like confirmation on that.

Well, we WERE going to head to Smuggler's Run at rope drop 10 days from now. But now, we will do the mad dash to MMRR instead. I'm hoping one extra E-ticket ride spreads the morning crowds a little. My DH is unimpressed with both Star Wars rides but I think he will like MMRR and maybe he'll think it's worth the super early morning. We don't have FPs as this is a last minute trip booked on a whim when we were sitting in Star Wars Land in mid-February lol.

I’m here now. If you get here early during the week you can stand at the front of TSL at 7am. But you still wait there for an hour to be let in.
MMRR is nuts. We chose to wait 90 min for MMRR at 3pm. It wasn’t bad shortest posted wait time of the day by far. We got lucky with super early BG numbers both days we tried.

We found (albeit on opening day ) lines for MMRR were longer first thing in the morning than later on during the day. I'd watch a lines app to see if this holds true-

Does anyone else have updates on how rope dropping SDD has been since MMRR has opened?

We dropped SDD on 3/5. CM's said it was a smaller crowd than usual. We got to park at 6am (8am opening) and were walked back to TSL at 7am. We were on first train and headed right over to TSM which had a 15-20 minute wait. Most people did go to MMRR, so at least last week you could arrive a bit later for rope drop at SDD or MFSR (which we dropped on 3/8) and still get pretty close to the front. By my estimate if you had been in line for SDD or MFSR by 7:20am you would have probably got on the ride in 20 minutes or so. And we got great BG's both days.

Might be because this is the first weekend for a new ride at HS too.
