Can I use the code on the AP Exchange Certificate to login to the Passholder area of the WDW site without it beginning the 1 year run of the AP? It looks like I can do this. It says that you can only activate the AP in person, but wanted to ask folks in the know.

No, it will not. It will only start when you exchange your voucher for the actual AP at the park.

Actually, you can. Just enter the code that is on the back of your voucher in the "passholder" section of the site. You will be able to access the passholder section with the voucher code. Then when you are ready to activate your AP, your year will start then.

You can still access the passholder section with the voucher until you activate your AP.

Just happened to see this again today - I kind of answered the wrong question. I guess I read too fast and thought the OP's question was whether using their voucher on the website would start their AP period - which it doesn't.

As to using the voucher to access the website, yes, you can - as the PP said.
