Will it be a Night of Joy?

Our family will be going to the Fri. NOJ this year. It started out as something I thought my dh and 14yo ds would enjoy, then blossomed into the 5 of us going. We are all really looking forward to it, but I think with realistic expectations. I've read all of the posts I can find and am aware that there may be foul weather, rude teen groups, crowds, etc. It is my hope that with this knowledge and a good attitude we can still have a great time. Then...someone from my church-who is a native Floridian-heard we were going and said, "Bring lots of deoderant. Elbow to elbow crowds and horrible humidity. Etc." He's been several times and didn't have anything nice to say. (Now that I think about it, why would he have gone again if it were so bad?) I'm second guessing myself. Anyone care to reassure me? TIA

Well personally I think anytime you go to Disney you need deodorant and everytime you go there is someone who didnt use enough.

About NOJ, I think it's good most times, but this year I think the lineup is much less appealing than in year's past. There are great bands but I think having Third Day and Stacie Orrico there and all was great. This year my favorite band is Kutless but overall Im not that satisfied with the lineup.

It is fun though. You'll enjoy it!

It might be elbow to elbow crowds watching the bands, but not on the rides. I'm not saying that all rides are walk ons, but they aren't crazy either. I always think that you should go to the early shows then ride the rides, as most people do the opposite as they come in a little late.

Thanks for the tips and yes, deoderant should always be a given! ::yes:: We're going to keep our good attitude and expect to enjoy ourselves.

I'm glad to hear you are still going. I've never been to NoJ, but have heard it's a good time. I always have somebody trying to tell us why we shouldn't be going to WDW when we are, or worse that we shouldn't go at all. I'm sure you've heard all the reasons... too hot, too crowded, too expensive, you've already been there, etc. Just go and do what you want and enjoy yourselves. Have a great time.

Mike

There are five of us also going to Night of Joy, we are going both nights! This is all of our first times and we are all looking forward to it & we can't wait! I have heard that Night of Joy is awesome! And I am not going to let a bunch of wild out of control teens or adults stop me from having a good time( if there are any there those nights). I am just not going to worry about it.
