Will I Survive Middle School?

Everything you said, and then some :thumbsup2 I am also in the trenches. Thank goodness we only have one more year(DD is almost 13) So far we're doing pretty good, but the eye-rolling and the significant sighs :rolleyes2 Not to mention the mood swings :furious: Who knew my precious baby girl could be such a :rolleyes1

Oh God, the eye rolls! And the tantrums, and overreactions to even the most innocent comments.

"Honey, would you like a piece of pie?"

"You don't care if I turn into a fat slob. Why can't you cook healthier foods?"

"So I guess you don't want pie."

"You think I'm too fat, maybe I should just hide away so I don't embarrass you. You don't care about what I want, you just want to run my life. I hate you!"

And ppl wonder why I dont want children :confused3

Good luck to you. My oldest is in middle school and I haven't had any problems with her yet. She loves school and doesn't seem to be having any trouble with the kids. My 4th grader, on the other hand, is my tough one. I think that middle school will be quite a challenge with her. She has already got quite an attitude. She and her friends are always bickering about something. I have Eblaster so I see the IM's that go back and forth and they are unbelievable sometimes. (BTW-she is aware of the Eblaster so she knows I see what she's writing).

Trust me, it gets better. She's 22 now, and a wonderful person. She wrote me a lovely letter thanking me for all I put up with, and for everything we've done for her. I'm so glad I didn't kill her. ;)
