just to annoy you all with my dining problems some more...I am totally having major doubts about some of my choices now...
I have ADRs already at Alfredos, Ohana for breakfast and Donald's Breakfastosaurus but I'm second guessing like crazy. I'm worried that I've too many breakfasts and wont get good value out of the dining plan and alfredos gets so many mixed reviews....I have so many other places I'd like to try and I want to be sure I make the best choices! Any opinions on any of these places...what would you do if you were me? Thanks again guys!

To ease your mind a bit most people don't have terrible things to say about Alfredo's. My family loves it, and I personally think it's okay. I would go there again b/c my family likes it, but do not have anything bad to say about it. And the only breakfast we usually do is Chef Mickey's so I can't really comment on your choices. No matter what your family will have a good time being together. Good Luck!

We did O'hana's breakfast just in April and enjoyed it very much. We had a late seating but got to the Poly to head to MK early and asked and they were able to accomodate us. Not crowded and good, relaxed interaction. Activities for the kids to participate and the food is served family style, so no going up to buffets and worrying about whose hands touched what. And you could get refills if you desired.

We did the bkfst because we were on the DP and arrived late the first night, so no dinner. So I saved it for the last day and did the bkfst on the way out. I usually don't do the bkfst, mostly because we head to the park early and try to do as much as possible before the heat and crowds set in and we enjoy the sit down dinner a bit more.

Don't worry so much about every dollar that you might be saving (or getting) when comparing bkfst to dinner. It should be about enjoying the dining experience w/ your family and getting the most out of the trip. You'll save either way.

Ok, I am seriously seriously doubting Alfredos...the more I read, the more I doubt. I come from an italian family and have had homemade fettucine...will I despise Alfredos? Are the waitstaff really rude?
I'm also hearing more and more bad things about 'Ohana's breakfast waitstaff...oh Heavens...
I would still love to eat at WS but Alfredo's is the only menu that really appeals to me...what should I do?

The fettucine is too much for me. I had it twice and both times I only ate about 1/4 of it. It not only has the alfredo sauce but also has mozzarella cheese. It's so thick and heavy I would never be able to finish it. And personally I don't want mozzarella melted into my fettucine alfredo. The lasagna has meat in it and I like my lasagna with just cheese. And not much else appeals to me on the menu. And that's why I have a hard time eating there. Personally I prefer to eat in Nine Dragons and in Mexico. This year we will be trying Le Cellier and Bistro de Paris.

The fettucine at Alfredos does not have mozzarella melted into it. It is the butter and parmesan cheese that makes it thick and heavy. Here are the ingredients that Alfredo's uses for the traditional Fettucine Alfredo (copied from allearsnet.com):

Ingredients:

1 lb. fresh fettuccine noodles

4 quarts boiling, salted water

1 cup unsalted Plugra butter, softened (Ed. note: Plugra butter is higher in fat than ordinary butter. Look for it in gourmet-type grocery stores.)

1/3 to 1/2 cup Emillia brand Parmesano Reggiano cheese, freshly grated (Ed. note: If you can't find Emillia brand, any Reggiano parmesan will do.)

Thanks, I thought it was mozzarella b/c it was really stringy when melted.

We love Alfredos and go for the fettucine. We have never had bad service ever, which is not true for other Disney restaurants.

I would not worry about getting the best monetary value, go where you want to go and you will still save money.

If you enjoy breakfasts, then you have picked some good ones.

Yes, the type of parmesean they use in combination with that rich butter can make it stringy and thick.

I like it, but this type of Fettucine Alfredo is not for everybody.

We love Ohana's for breakfast. It is served family style instead of buffet, so you don't have to get up! We have found the food and service to always be good, and our DS loves Stitch so it's one of the only chacter breakfasts he requests. We are trying Donald's next time too. We do the DDP, but pay OOP for the breakfasts as they are generally less expensive and save the TS credits for our dinners.

I think I'm going to start a 12 step program to help those dealing with eater's remorse. To be fair, it will probably involve more eating.

Have a great time, eat, eat more later, and next trip you will know what worked for you and what else you want to try! (BTW-we've eaten at all of them, go back to breakfastasaurus every trip, and do the other's from time to time)

it's all about the food!

I personally dont like to do alot of breakfast's but I do like to do 1 or 2.We really enjoyed CP.We actually thought it was better than CM.But I've heard different things. You really just have to try it yourself b/c everyone has different tastes.Dont stress about it though if you like breakfast do it if you like dinner better do it.As to Alfredos we love it and are going there again this Sept. We had the tomato and mozz. salad and it was great and the osso bucco for entree and it was great too as was the dessert and our waiter was great even knowing we were on the dining plan (which I've heard some arent as friendly when they learn this) but all our CM were great.I've never hated any meal I've had in Disney just enjoy being there and be open minded about it and you'll have a great time.
