Will I still get Free Dining if...

Sorry if this has been addressed before, I couldn't find it...

I booked the Poly when the free dining plan was the promotion. I'm toying around with the idea of downgrading to a mod (it's really hard to justify a deluxe when we love the mods already!) but I don't know if that's even an option. Would our reservation just be adjusted for price, or would they have to cancel and rebook (and delete our free dining plan, since the promo is over)?

I think you can as long as their are enough rooms at the resort in question that are available for the FD Pin. They will just credit you the difference. We did this a few years ago switching from a deluxe to a moderate. The easiest way to be 100% sure is to just call.

You should be able to since you originally booked while the booking window was open. I recently did something similar, in where I shifted my trip back 2 weeks due to work issues. It was after the booking window had closed, but I was able to keep the discount (and change resorts while I was at it).

You do need to be aware that CMs at CRO can not see the availability on their own since the promotion has expired. They will need to check with Guest Services in order to see the availability. As others have said, yes it can be done, but you need to know that they need to contact another group in order to make it happen. If you're told within a minute or two that there's no availability, the CM has not checked the right place and you'll want to call back and try again with a different CM.

Ah, OK. Thanks for the head's up! I never would have thought to call back when/if they refused me. I'm still trying to hold off on calling for sure, because I already made one resort switch so far (well, I just upgraded to CL) and I want to be super sure of the decision before I call again, so I only appear moderately flaky, and not horribly flaky.
