will i starve w/o ps for christmas day

we have our christmas eve cp package all taken care of but aren't really sure about Christmas. It sounds like it will be a mad house at most of the parks. right now we are figuring on mgm that day. we thought of Mama Melrose's but honestly if the park is packed i'm not sure how long we will stay. if we don't make ps anywhere will there be any possibility of getting in a sit down restaurant at one of the parks or possible even a resort or the boardwalk, maybe on an off time like 4 o'clock?

I would not go without a ps somewhere on Christmas Day. A ps does not cost anything. Just make one where you think you probably will be.

Many fancy hotels with fancy restaurants in my area (near Toronto, Ontario) sell FULLY COOKED AND YUMMY Xmas dinners with allllllllll the fixin's for a reasonable price! They are TO GO full dinners, FULL turkey and everything. It's like a home cooked meal! I wonder if some of the off site hotels near WDW do the same and you can enjoy a nice Xmas dinner in your room at the table??????? S

As someone who was there last Christmas, make a PS. But remember if you do, that you'll have to show up. WDW requires a credit card guarantee on all Christmas PS's and if you don't show you will be charged a $10 pp no show fee, unless you cancel 48 hours prior, then no fee. That shows you how crowded the restaurants will be for Christmas. Also, most of the restaurants in the Boardwalk area don't open for dinner until 5 - 6, so there really isn't an off-time to eat, they usually are closed for lunch. The place is really a mad house around Christmas, we had to wait 25 minutes for our PS at Narcoossee's last year.

Also.. for some of the restaurants that are serving a special christmas dinner (i.e. California Grill), they will charge you the full amount if you do not cancel 48 hours in advance.

We found that both xmas and xmas eve have asked for credit card guarantees. Special dinners are full price of the dinner (CG), others (like hollywood and vine) are the $10 pp if you don't show or cancel in time.
