Will I regret not being able to advance schedule FastPass+

We will most likely have enough points on a credit card to stay at the Swan for free for 5 nights, but I just read that I won't be able to schedule my FastPass+ rides in advance. I will have to wait in line for a kiosk in the morning at the park. We haven't been to Disney since the old fastpass system, so I don't know how much of a problem this is going to be. Are we going to regret not being able to schedule ahead of time? Are the lines for the kiosks long? We are going 12/5-12/10 which is not busy season from what I understand.

Early December used to be a really slow time to go but it isn't so much any more. I would expect moderate crowds, check the crowd calendars before you go to help you plan which park/which day etc.

We were there last week and the kiosks did have pretty long lines sometimes. I would suggest getting to the park early and getting in line to get it over with.

I did read on another thread that someone had a guest go to WDW with them who was staying with them in their house, so offsite. That guest was able to set up an MDE account before going and when she got to the park and bought her tickets she was able to link them to her MDE account with her phone and book her FP+ selections with her phone. Others are saying you can't do that if you are not staying in a Disney resort. I would call the hotel if I were you and ask them to clarify. We did not buy our tickets until we were on property but we DID link them to MDE with a phone and were able to set up all FP+ selections with the phone, which was so much easier. We were staying onsite though.

We did get some good FP+ selections the day we wanted them for later that day, and it was moderately crowded, spring break.
