We are soon to be new DVC members, just passed ROFR at BCV last week. Woo hoo!:thumbsup2
When we agreed to the contract terms, we knew we would not be able to settle per the sellers needs until 6/24/2011 and we are hoping to go on 5/19/12 for 5 nights in a 2BR. Being that it is such a small resort and the hardest to get, does anyone think we will have a hard time getting our home resort if I don't call exactly 11 months out? I know after the 24th it will take a while for us to be in the system...so it will probably be 2 to 3 weeks after the 11 month mark.

Most schools will still be in session-so maybe your chances will be better? I hope you will be able to book your 2BR but we've also stayed at OKW, AKV and Saratoga Springs and we liked them all very much. And you could always waitlist BCV and switch if it becomes available. Good luck! :)

You will not have any trouble getting a 2 bedroom for May 2012, even if you can't call right at the 11 month mark. Don't worry about it.

May is actually one of the easier times to book at 7 months. You will be booking well before the 7 month window opens and so will not have a problem'.

'Congratulations and welcome home - just a bit early. :)

Thanks so much for the info guys and thanks Carol for my first WELCOME HOME! Even if it is a little early! We are so excited!

I got a 2br at BCV this year for the end of may into june at the 7 month mark. You should have no problem.

I was able to book a 2 bedroom at BCV at the 7th month mark for August. You shouldn't have problems getting one 2 weeks after the 11month.

And if it is not available (for some reason) when you call wait list it! You will be fine!

But if you are looking for a dedicated two bedroom villa with two queen beds in the second bedroom, there are only 25 of them. So it might not be so easy two weeks later.

Welcome Home, BCV neighbor!

I was able to get a 2 bedroom for a long weekend in June this year at around the 5 month mark. It's dedicated, but not the one with 2 queens in the second bedroom. I was thrilled that I got something at BCV so late in the booking period.

Welcome Home!

We booked a dedicated 2BR at BCV for May 21-28 2011 at the 7 month mark with no problem.

But is it the dedicated with two queen beds or dedicated with one queen bed and one sleeper sofa?

We were able to book a 2BR for 7 nights this June at 7 months out....no problem, no waitlist.

Actually got one at teh 7 month mark. and then my 2Queen waitlist came though - :cool1:

Think positive

Is it one of the 25 dedicated two bedroom villas with two queen beds or does it have the combination of the queen and sleeper sofa or is it a lock off?

What type did you actually get?

I didn't really care what the bed situation would be...when I booked, all I cared about was getting a lock-off....the studio side is for DD16 & her best friend (graduation trip - yay!).

DH, DS, & I will have the other side.

Since I have not officially closed, this raises a booking question for me...when booking through DVC, is a specific room number assigned at booking? Meaning is the MS person able to look at an inventory that day and if we were to call and request a dedicated 2br, would the member services person be able to tell me if I have one with 2 queens in the 2nd bedroom or is that just done at check in? I doubt it but figured I'd check.
