Will I lose my FP+ selections if I cancel resort res then rebook?

We are currently booked at OKW renting DVC points for a 4 nt stay mid January. This trip is just ds14 and me. Our 60 day window opened Friday night and we're all set, even had plenty of choices for 7DMT. We have rented points successfully many times but I do know it's a non-cancelable reservation.

For reasons I'd rather not get into discussing, typical teenager stuff, I'm not feeling like ds14 is deserving of a trip to WDW. :headache:
I know 2 people who may be interested in paying me my cost of the rental and I could ask the DVC owner to change names. Our flights were booked with SWA points so that's easy to cancel last minute.

I could book something cancellable direct through Disney (room only) and see how things go until then. So would I lose all my FP+ selections? What if I book the cancellable res first then switch the names out on the OKW res?

thanks. :goodvibes

On a related note, if I have a resort stay booked with tickets in hand and book all FP+ and ADRs, but closer to the trip new room discounts come out and I re-do our reservation to get the room discount (which I assume involves cancelling the original res and re-booking it for the same resort, time period but at the discounted rate), will this also void all previously made FP+ and ADRs?
