DD was just able to snag a fabulous TM rate at Cabana Bay Resort so we are not switching to Pop in the middle of the trip anymore. I already have both dining (not worried about them) and FP+ reservations and Magic Bands customized. But now I am cancelling our Pop reservation. Will I lose everything? Anything? Should I wait until the Magic Bands ship to cancel? I have bands already but DBR does not.

Dining isn't affected. Fp maybe but you maybe ok if it's later than 30 days out.

We had a room only through Orbitz and we are 51 days out. Our wdw tickets were purchased separately through Disney & are linked in my MDE

I have until 2/22 to cancel the Orbitz reservation without penalty so I think I will wait until we get our bands and are under 30 days to do so.

It is my understanding that if you cancel, in total, a WDW Resort stay, any FP+ reservations made 60 days in advance will cancel, too.

That's what I was afraid of but it is what it is. I will wait til 30 days to cancel so, if I lose my FPs, I will be at my window to try to get something. Thanks Robo.

We had a room only reservation last month and decided to switch to offsite at about 21 days. All of our FP+ reservations remained intact. Not sure if anything has changed since then, but that was our experience.

The way I understand everything, with a room-only, as long as you keep your tickets linked, the FPs will stay. Once you cancel the room, you will not be able to edit them anymore until 30 days when you booking window will re-open.

This was my experience in August anyway. Good luck!

appreciate everyone's input. As with everything Disney, no consistency! We are not really looking for anything special. So, if we lose what we have, I don't think it'll impact the vacation much. I am the uber planner. DBr is like, whatever!!

I cancelled 7 days prior to start of trip (which was just last week).
- My 60-day FPs remained intact
- My BOG reservation remained intact
- Got full refund of my deposit

I would suggest waiting until MBs ship.

I have several MBs from previous trips but he does not. Last day to customize is 1/27 and the last day to cancel the ressie is 2/22. I just have to be patient!!

Only snag was that once in BOG at the kiosk, they couldn't find our food order (but that might have been just a normal system glitch). Since we were paying at the kiosk anyway, we just re-ordered. So if you get a BOG lunch, you might want to print out your food order. Or just remember what you ordered.

Also, the pre-ordered line is shorter than the "need to order food" line, so definitely order in advance.

One other hint on BOG: if you don't like the two timeslots they offer, hit F5 to refresh your screen until you get a time you like.

on our last visit and I was completely underwhelmed. Probably won't ever do it again. But thanks for the advice!

What did you have? I've heard the croque monsieur is kind of dry. But we always get the slow-cooked pork, which is excellent. In fact this time we each got kids' portions, which was enough for me and much cheaper.

whatever the shaved beef was, not good. DD liked the Potato Leek soup and DH had the pork which was also good. I just think its a lot of hype for an acceptable but not memorable meal. We are having lunch at LTT, a personal favorite.

I liked my Croque Monsieur but agree on dry side I could have used more sauce.

I liked my beef sand time I had it shortly after place opened. But agree a lot of hype for a meal.
