Will I like Boardwalk Inn?

I'm feeling a tad guilty at the $$ we will be spending at the BWI but I love the location. I'd love to hear some positives about this resort to reassure me. Thank you!

We actually stay in the Villas, but we love it. The reason why we love it is because it is so easy to get to Epcot (our favorite park) and MGM. In addition, just the atmosphere at the resort is beautiful. We love to take walks around the Epcot Resorts pathway. In addition, the restaurants are great (ESPN Club and Flying Fish).

One slight downfall is when you need to take the bus to MK. We are the last stop for the Epcot Resort buses. Therefore, Swan, Dolphin, Yacht and Beach guests get picked up before we do. Only a few times, did we have full buses and were not able to get on. This was in June and July. While that was frustrating, they did occassionally have a back-up plan where they sent an empty bus to the resort to pick people up.

You will have fun, more pros than cons at the Boardwalk.

I am sure you will love it. The location is fantastic. I have never stayed at the BWI but it is one of my "dream" resorts. I hope to spend a few nights there in 2007. :)

Hi,

You will have a great time at the BWI!! The location just can't be beat, and with five resorts and World Showcase all within walking, or boating, distance, your dining choices could keep you there for weeks. The pool is good - the pool bar, Leaping Horse Libations, offers tasty drinks and snacks - and is open very late. The Bellevue Lounge, just off the lobby, has breakfast stuff in the morning.

There is entertainment on the Boardwalk in the evening, including dueling pianos at Jellyrolls. Take time to smell the roses and maybe walk around the lake at night - it is very pretty.

We never had a problem with the buses. They don't always hit all five resorts, and remember you only have to get a bus to the MK, AK, DTD or the water parks. Actually, you can get off at the Swan (1st stop), walk in the front door, straight thru out the back door, turn right, go over the bridge and you will most likely be at the BWI before the bus.

We have been fortunate enough to have stayed at the BWI three times and hope to do so again next year. A really fabulous location!! You will not regret you decision. Have a most magical trip!!!

My neighbors actually thought it was a bit noisy. They prefer the Yacht Club because it is quieter, has the best pool on property and its an easy walk to the Boardwalk without the noise.

This is our favorite resort! The atmosphere and location can't be beat. We're being adventurous on our next trip and staying at OKW, and honestly, I'm a little nervous that I'll really miss my favorite resort!

You will absolutely love it!! We have stayed at the BW Inn once and the BWV section twice. We have a hard time staying anywhere else! The location is the best. We love having all the action right at our doorstep. Never had a problem with noise. Last trip we even had a BW view and still no problem. We just closed the balcony door and no outside noise!

We love Spoodles and there are so many great dining options. Also, the night time activities are wonderful. They have strolling entertainment on the BW like, muscians, magicians, juggler. BW type games, hair wraps, face painting, surrey bikes, ice cream parlor.

The pool is great and so is the slide. We actually love the quiet pool on the Inn side. It is so pretty.

The rooms are really nice and spacious. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The lobby is really pretty and we often sit on the chairs and people watch. Also, very relaxing sitting on the rockers outside.

Also the ease of walking or ferry to Epcot and MGM is fantastic! When we stay there we go to Epcot almost every evening!

Well worth the money!!!!

We just stayed 5 nights at the BWV , but last year we stayed at the Inn. It is now my favourite. The quiet pool is really great. The boat dock is so close and it goes right to Epcot and is the first stop coming back from E. I haven't found it noisy. Lovely decor.

We own at the BoardWalk Villas, and I absolutely love the resort! It is in the middle of all the action, and it is so close to Epcot and MGM! You'll have a great time! Enjoy!

The Boardwalk Inn is fantastic. We own BWV, but did stay one night in the Inn. The room was absolutely huge! It sure impressed and overwhelmed my mom when she first saw it.

As the OP said, the location is great. The only downside the very long hallways!

Own at BWV, it's nice to be able to walk to EPCOT and MGM. If you are worried about the noise, don't get a preferred view room. First, it's quieter, and second, it's cheaper.

Our last and only trip to WDW was in '97 (12 of us) and we stayed at the Boardwalk Villas (3 1bedroom suites) and we had an absolutely awesome time - the walk to Epcot and the convenience of a short boat ride to MGM was the best part. We had a little problem with the bus service but it was everywhere from what I understood due to the buses themselves having issues.

I loved being able to go back to your room after the parks closed and still have oodles to do right where you're staying. Altho we had 2 rooms above the quiet pool and one above the parking lot, it wasn't noisy at all. I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Great spot! We didn't know if we would like it but enjoyed it a lot. Can't comment about trouble with bus service to MK as we had a car. :earsboy:
