Will I have to change villas???

We are new DVC members and I have been trying to "piece together" a trip for Thanksgiving to stay in a 2 bedroom villa rather than in our travel trailer (have had reservations at Fort Wilderness for some time). Trying to do this without having to move every night or 2.

I gave up trying to get 11/24 Thanksgiving day at BLT, where I was able to get most of the nights I want, and took a 2 bedroom at SSR. I now have 11/25 and 11/27-30 at BLT. I need 11/26 (have it waitlisted), but nothing so far.

There is a cash reservation thru Disney reservations
(not MS) with an AP discount for 11/26 that is lower than what I was quoted by MS for a discounted room---but not much lower. If I book thru Disney rather than MS would I be able to stay in the same villa? If I pay a little more and book thru MS would I be able to stay in the same villa?

My family feels strongly about not moving and would rather stay at the campground for our entire trip. My feeling is that we should enjoy our "new home" and so want the extra room in 2 bedroom villa.

Possibly, since it is a Disney Resort reservation and not point stay or cash stay booked through Member Services you might get moved.

And yes if you book through Member Services it is easier for them to allow you to stay put.

If it's not much difference book with Member Services and ask them to link the reservations together. Ask again at check in to make sure it has been linked. You will still have to come get new keys.

If you can get the same exact type of room each night you should be able to link all the reservations. Although it works in theory it does not always in practice. I have had better luck lately with linked reservations, but had difficulties in the past. Just ask about the possibility when you book the cash reservation. If you are told it will work just make sure that everything is addressed at check in.

With a 2 bedroom, you have to be sure that both are dedicated or both are lockoffs. If you have a mix, you will pobably have to move.
