If memory serves me right, there are ice machines. Don't recall pitchers though.

I don't know about ice cube trays, but I've got to tell you about our recent experience with ice cube trays in a studio at HHI. We had no ice cube trays, so I called the front desk, who was able to hunt up ONE. After a couple days
we figured out why ice cube trays are so scarce. When the water froze and we went to carefully bend the ice cubes out of the tray, the whole tray very easily started breaking apart. If this is indicative of the quality of the DVC ice cube trays, I wouldn't count on any being in in the villa.

If you are in a one or two bedroom, they will have both ice trays and a pitcher. I am not sure about studios. Have a wonderful visit! You'll love AKV. It's a beautiful resort.

Thanks - I'm really looking forward to this visit - going with my mom and sister and my two boys. Hoping to SLOW DOWN and enjoy the resort!

We stayed in units with an ice making refrigerator, no trays. We did have trays at OKW. The pitcher should be there in the 1,2,3 BR villas if not call housekeeping. We've called Housekeeping for the most random things, can opener, large cookie sheets, cake pans. The only things we didn't get were pie plates.

The only DVC fridges I know of that have ice makers are the ones at OKW. We've always had cube trays at all the others.

While at AKV we used the ice machines in the hall, so I didn't notice if they had ice cube trays. The only pitcher in our room was very small, maybe a quart at most. I bought a bigger one, but then it didn't fit in my OL so I left it in the room.

Glad someone pointed out the SIZE of the pitcher - On one of our first AKL stays we brought lemonade mix as everyone kept telling us there were pitchers.

Turns out it's about the size of a LARGE beer mug...

We now buy a large pitcher at a local dollar store and leave it when we check out....

We stay in a studio and keep ice trays in our OL. They were great this last trip and I didn't have to look for the ice machine. So, no studios do not have trays or pitchers.

AKL had smaller everything IMO.The pitchers we've had elsewhere held a reconstituted 12 oz= 48oz plus ice.

I think OKW, AKV and BLT all have ice machines in the refrigerators for the one and two bedrooms and GVs. The studios have access to ice machines located throughout the resort. BWV, BCV, SSR and possibly VWL all have the smaller apartment sized refrigerators that only have ice trays.

Each villa is supposed to have a pitcher, but it really varies on size from a less than quart, 32 oz. to 64 oz. or gallon depending on the resort.
