Will I burn up wearing jeans in April?

I really hate shorts and don't care for caprsi much either. I do like the cargo roll-up capris (but can't seem to find them this year).
So I'm thinking about packing jeans, am I going to burn up? I'm pretty cold natured and I figured wearing sandles and short sleeves will counter it .
We are going April 10-17th.

I never take jeans. They are too heavy in the suitcase and if they get wet they take forever to dry.

I would take khakis or chinos. It will be warm, I know I wore shorts when we went over Easter and I'm a cold person also.

You will burn up. I am pretty cold natured, but I was burning up in jeans today in NC in March. Last time we went in April, it was hot - upper 80's.

We have done 3 WDW May vacations and my adult son (29) wears black jeans every day while there. I would die, he is fine with it. I think only you know what you will be comfortable wearing.

Well...I just found some Eddie Bauer cargo type pants and bought two pairs. It says they are lightweight so hopefully they will work, never bought anything EB before

Well, I wear jeans in Albuquerque in the summer, and I'd never count on wearing jeans in April in Florida. It's possible you could, but I wouldn't say it's certain. It's really not the heat, it's the humidity.

I got several pairs of roll-up cargo pants at Old Navy last summer for our Disney trip, although I haven't looked this year, but you could try there maybe?

Way too hot for jeans in April. They'll be heavy, chafe (regardless of your size ) and feel constantly damp because of your persperation and the humidity.

If you must wear pants, wear the lightest material you can find. I'm not a fan of shorts either, but do wear capris in the spring and summer and fall (here in Florida). That few inches from the mid calf down to the ankle can make all the difference in the world.

You might want to try full length, unlined linen pants. They're usually pretty easy to find, and they're about the coolest pants you can wear.

Actually from what I've experienced with the weather down there in April I think you should definatly take at least one pair. We were there last year for spring break around the first week of April and while a couple of days were nice, it got chilly a couple of days too. I think you will be fine taking some. You never know how crazy FL weather is gonna be!

I say take one pair just in case but I too think you will be to hot.

Florida heat is very hot, not like it is in the mid west or the middle states.

To me, jeans specifically are hotter than most other kinds of pants or trousers.

Not only would I think you would be warm, I think it would be uncomfortable to wear jeans all day. And like a pp said, if they get wet that will be miserable!

I totally understand - I hate shorts so much that I don't even own a pair. I went this past May and wore sundresses and jeans and really didn't mind the jeans at all. However, I went in early June 2006 during a tropical storm - constant rain - and was pretty miserable once they were wet.

I was advised that I would be miserable in jeans...and they were right. So what did I do? I decided to wear leggings (95% cotton, 5% spandex) and tunic type tops. I was cool, I was comfortable, I looked cute!

I'm wearing these same outfits to WDW in May. I highly recommend giving leggings a shot!

It will be very uncomfortable, take some shorts with you to the park and if it gets too warm change.

Thanks everyone for the great feedback. I'm going to pack a couple of pair and pack roll-up cargo pants for the rest of the trip. Thanks for the tip about Old Navy I will go and check out their cargo's as well, someone was also telling me Target and Walmart have them.
