Sara

Deal! :thumbsup2 Or, you can just stay a few extra days and celebrate at the party with me! :)

Monica - Love the design, you are so talented! :worship: Now I want to do archery just so I can use it!:rotfl:

Sara,
Your plans look great. I'm having the same problem with the show times for HS. the worst part is we have to leave the park by 3PM because we have Chef Mickey's with our Grand Gathering group and then the fireworks cruise. I'm sure it will be fun but that doesn't leave much time for HS. TSM will be a must for our family and I would love be able to ride twice but doubt we will manage that.

Your last MK day sounds really relaxing too. I love 'Ohana but I would wait and see too if you fell like rushing to dinner. Hope your trip is wonderful and Katie has a magical Birthday pixiedust:

Or you could come a day early and spend the day at the MK with us! :p

You'd probably be pretty good at it, what with your mad skillz in the karate department. Your hands are weapons, right? A bow and arrow should be no biggie! :thumbsup2

Thanks Nichole! That dang DHS park! :headache: I bet if you are there right at rope drop and head straight there, get your FP, and ride it standby, you will get 2 rides out of it. I forget, does Kaylee do the thrill rides at DHS?

I'm hoping that our last day is relaxing. It will be our first rope drop (hopefully, if we get out of bkfast in time) at the MK as the other two days are partial days. But I'm hoping that with the party behind us, we will have hit a lot of the rides and will use this day to ride any of the "must-do-agains"! Thanks for the birthday wishes! :goodvibes

In a pathetic attempt to make myself feel better about all the stuff I haven't done yet, I am going to post my old list of things to do...most of which are done!  (I told you it was pathetic...:guilty: )

* Order tickets for the party! (um...yeah...I got 'em  )
* Pre-order the photopass CD! DONE! (Woo-hoo - doing a share with Michelle and Charlene)
* Work on t-shirt for the Halloween party (Ok, this one is for Shawn...as he does the designing, and it IS done, just not ironed on yet - I will post pics in a day or so)
* Figure out what to do about the stroller - DONE! :thumbsup2 Decided to bring our umbrella stroller for Katie for the airport ONLY, as I wouldn't use that thing in the parks even if someone paid me a hundred bucks! :headache: It is darn miserable. Decided to go with www.orlandostrollerrentals.com. Great site - great reviews. Going with the City-Mini Double Jogging Stroller. I talked to the owner and she will be bringing it to the house by 7:30 AM on our first park day! I'm hoping all the good reviews hold true...saving a ton over renting a Disney double stroller!
* Work on the clues for the treasure hunt (reveal of the trip to the kids) and the "surprise" shirt they will wear on the plane. - Well, not quite done with this yet....:rolleyes1 Good thing is....I work well under pressure!
* Make buttons for the trip like I did for Thanksgiving - DONE! we really enjoyed wearing a common button last time, so I found a Fall Design and made cheap pins at www.cafepress.com. Not here yet, but they have shipped. I will post a pic when they get here.
* Determine what Halloween costumes the kids want - DONE, sort of... (the kids not knowing about the trip, has posed a couple of problems for me and my obsessive planning....I am just going to bring their regular costumes - which I know will be too hot for them - and also have the family Halloween shirt handy for them to change into. I will post pics of their costumes shortly! They are cute, but I know won't last in the parks! :sad2:
* Order the mydressuptrunk dresses for the girls. DONE! These dresses are great and totally non-itchy. Katie has even slept in hers once. I have ordered them and they should be here tomorrow (according to the tracking site)! Two Cinderellas!! princess: princess:
* Katie's Cake Order - DONE!
* Coral Reef - request personalized menus and diver - DONE!
* Order some pins off ebay for trading purposes for Michael (and maybe Emily this time) - DONE! This was a big cost savings for us last time, plus it made it easier for Michael to trade as he wasn't having to struggle with his decision over what to trade from his stash. Bought the pins off ebay for $1.80 each and they were delivered in one day; however, some of the pins are ones I like...hope the kids feel differently and still want to trade them, or it completely defeats the purpose!
* Complete Garden Grocer order and submit - DONE!
* Activity books for the kids for the plane - working on it! :rolleyes1
* Goodie bags for the kids for the plane ride - I'm working on it too! :rolleyes1

So that made me feel better...

I will post a more relevant to-do list shortly....

Sara

Sara

That is what we are going to try to do for TSM. Kaylee probably just makes the height for RnRC. They both say they want to ride TOT but I seriously don't think they will like it. I don't even like it. I thik yo uwill be able to get alot done during the party. The character lines are long though.

Hey Sara - looks like you've got a lot done on your list! Makes you feel better, right? :) I can imagine there is another list just as long with things left to do but they can't be as time consuming as the "pre" stuff you've already taken care of.

A clothing update! :cool1:

So, as soon as Shawn Ok'd the trip to Disney, I got to work trying to think of what to wear! Not so much for me, as I'm not comfortable with my size right now and therefore don't enjoy clothes shopping like I used to! :sad2: So, instead....I dress up my kids! :rotfl2: They are young and have no say in it whatsoever! Gotta take advantage of that for as long as I can! I got to looking on ebay for some cute custom Minnie mouse outfits for my girls and about had a heart attack at some of the prices! :scared1: I want my girls to look cute and all, but wowsers! However, I continued on my quest to find someone who would sew me up a couple of cute custom outfits for my girls without me having to sell one of them to afford it!

I came across a couple, and am very pleased with the results. Unfortunately, I have too many outfits for them to wear. :confused3 Especially since I came up with the great idea for all (8 of us) wear matching red Disney shirts on one of our days, so that takes away one of the days I could have had the girls wearing their custom made stuff! Drat! Oh well...only have myself to blame for that one, right? :headache:

First off, the aforementioned red Disney shirts (that I'm sure a ton of people will have on in the parks!):rolleyes1 Hey...Disneyoutlet.com for $4.00 baby!

50063M.jpg

I figured it would make for some cute photopass pictures all together!

Here is one of the Minnie mouse ones. These are the pics from the listing when I got them because I can't try them on the girls since this trip is a surprise! :scared: Hope they fit! It's really cute - the shirt is a white t-shirt with a red/white polka dot ribbon around it and a cute minnie head in the middle, and the jeans are capris and have the cute red/white polka dot trim around the bottom! Oh, and all these customs I got for $20 or around there (I think one was $24.99, but still compared to what's out there, these are bargains!)

minniejeans.jpg

The other Minnie mouse one I got for the girls I don't have a picture of. I bought it so long ago, I don't have the link to the ebay listing, and of course I don't want to take it out to take a picture of it for fear that they might see me! SO this is a picture of something similar (but not quite). It's basically a red halter (longer than the one in the pic, I think) and black leggings with red trim. This one doesn't have a pic of any leggings in it, but just close your eyes and picture it, K?

minniehalter.jpg

The other one I got I love the most. It's Minnie (again  ) but it's for autumn. It's so pretty. It is orange and white with a peasant top and a ribbon for around the waist. It really is well-made, and I hope it fits. I will be bringing a few back-up items in my suitcase just in case none of this stuff actually ends up fitting. I want them to wear this one on our last day at the MK. Hoping for some good pics with them and all the lovely Fall decorations around the park. Of course, with CP breakfast that morning they may end up with chocolate milk down the front of their white shirts, but I will be ready with a Clorox Bleach pen! (note to self...bring Clorox bleach pen!)

OrangeWhiteMinnie.jpg

I also have two princess customs for the girls. One was done by the same lady who did the minnie mouse/jeans one from above. It is also jean capris, but with a princes halter top that is pink and has a lovely little print of all the princesses all over it. It's adorable! Sorry can't find the listing and don't have my own picture of it. The other one is actually similar to the one Emily wore last year! Katie is going to wear it (if I ever get a day for it - I need a longer trip!) and I found the same material in a listing for a halter outfit for Emily in her new and improved size! This is what the outfit looked like last year (if you can't see it, the material is a princess toile and it has a shimmer in it - kind of sparkles! It's really lovely):

SO, what about Michael, you might ask? Well, boy stuff is a little harder once they are older than 3! I don't think I could get my 7 year old on board with some cute custom mickey mouse overalls! :lmao: However, he does have a red mickey applique shirt and I have bought him a bunch of disney store shirts to wear with his regular shorts/jeans. He has this shirt from last year:

And the disney store shirts are:

Plus I have a couple of iron-on transfers that I'm going to finish up this weekend.

So there you have it...I should have a few more pictures of clothes (princess dresses and halloween costumes) up soon! :goodvibes

Oh Sara - Adorable outfits for the girls! The orange/white one will look great against all of the fall decorations! I sure hope everything fits!

I have that same red shirt as Michael! :thumbsup2

Can't wait to see the shirts you are making!

So, what will you be wearing? (other than the red Disney shirt) Do you have Disney shirts from last year or will you wear your everyday clothes?

Your trip is so close now!!!

I will wear whatever sort of fits me! Nothing particularly Disney...just the red shirt that day and the Halloween shirt for the party. I do have a Cruella shirt, but I feel kind of silly in it as Cruella is REALLY BIG on it. It's not understated at all! I just got it because it was so cheap! Maybe I will just use it as a nightshirt! I will probably stick with my regular capris and shirts and maybe a pair of jeans if it gets cool at all.

I'm gonna post the shirt designs in a minute...

Sara

Here is the design that we did for Michael on DHS day! I found the star wars "squares" on here somewhere and Shawn manipulated them to go where he wanted them to and then I had someone do the name Michael with the star wars characters and then let shawn manipulate that onto the design. I like it. I'm hoping to do some ironing tonight!

Michael-Star-Wars-Shirt.jpg

Here are two designs that I might do (one or the other...not both) on a shirt for Michael, because he is very much into Narnia right now...:confused3

Peter.jpg

NarniaCollage.jpg

I was going to post more designs, but photobucket is really giving me trouble tonight, so I will leave it at these for tonight. What do you think?

Sara

Oh my goodness those outfits for the girls are too cute!! Good job. They will love them. I love the orange one. You're kids are so lucky to have you as a mom.:goodvibes

Have a magical weekend!
Jeanette

Love the designs Sara! Michael will be so excited to wear them! I can't decide which of the Narnia ones I like best - the are both great! Are you planning to see the new Narnia exhibit?

Well, I wasn't thinking of visiting the exhibit - that dang park again! :headache: But I know Michael would love to meet Prince Caspian, so I'm wondering if there is a way in to see him without going through the exhibit! :confused3 Of course, this would be the day he should wear the Narnia shirt, and it will also be the day for the Star Wars shirt. Geez...maybe I won't do the Narnia one...IDK! If I do, I think I'm leaning towards Peter, over the group shot, since that is what his costume for MNSSHP is.

I think you'll have to squeeze that in somehow! Maybe he can bring both shirts to DHS and change in to the Peter one for the Narnia exhibit and meet? It would be really cool to get his picture with Prince Caspian!
