I have a 4:45 ressie at Sci Fi restaurant on my only HS day.

I have never seen the fantasmic show so I don't want to miss it.
Will there be time or should I change my ressie for a late lunch.

I'm going Dec 9th on a recommend day

Thanks and I hope I made sense.

It kind of depends on how much extra time you want. Based on the schedule I saw, Fantasmic is at 6:30 pm. I'd allow about 60 minutes for dinner at Sci Fi. Assuming you're seated on time, you should be finished about 5:45 pm. Allow about 15 minutes to walk to Fantasmic, so that'll get you into the theater about 6:00 pm. That should be plenty of time to find a seat. Now, if Sci Fi is running late, it'll be tighter.

I feel better now. I'm going to show up a bit early and hope we get seated either on time or earlier than 4:45:)

This information is really helpful!! How about Hollywood & Vine? Should I expect about 60 minutes to dine there?

4:45 for a 6:30 pm Fantasmic? That may be cutting it a little too close. Maybe if you only have entrees.

For our early January stay, I made 4:30 reservation at Mama Melrose with the plan of us seeing the 6:30 Fatasmic. Although it worked because everything went perfectly, if I had to do it over I'd make the dinner res for 4:00pm just to be more relaxed, if nothing else.

Just not having to have the worry during the dinner, how long it will take to get the check, will the walk to Fantasmic be real crowded, will the theatre be crowded....? know what I mean? these are the things I kept thinking about THROUGHOUT dinner! Hah!

We got there in time, a little after 6:00pm, and the back-up wasn't too bad but the theater was at least 80% full so not a lot of choice for seats...but that didn't matter.

So, I guess it depends on the day, the week, the season, the restaurant, the sun and the stars, but we had a great night and wanted to share our experience.

Have fun!! :goodvibes
