Will Hollywood Now Always Have Fireworks?

Last August Hollywood had Frozen fireworks, and I hear now they have Star Wars, but I don't see anything on the schedule for this August aside from Fantasmic. Will Hollywood always have fireworks now, or is it an irregular thing?

Summer fireworks are coming. But we don't have confirmed dates. It's expected and hoped that the current fireworks will continue until the new show. Hopefully the new show will last past summer! It looks like it's going to be an incredible show!

I wouldn't say always, but it does look that way for now. The new Star Wars fireworks show will be starting up soon..and if it's anything like the current Star Wars fireworks, it'll be amazing

I haven't had the pleasure of being there for any DHS fireworks, but I hear they're really great. I understand, though, that they close Toy Story early because of it (queue is in a debris zone?) are there also other areas or attractions closed during fireworks? One thing I like about MK and Epcot fireworks shows is that they're dual purpose: great shows for those interested in it and great opportunity for rides if you don't care about the fireworks. If one or more major attractions in a park with limited attractions are closed for the show, how does this affect touring?

Yeah the Frozen Fireworks last year were amazing (and I don't even like Frozen!). I was trying to figure out times for dinning, which of course is nearly impossible :crazy2:.

Toy story is closed before the fireworks (the whole area walkway back there, and the great movie ride was being closed as well

They are building a permanent fireworks launch pad behind DHS so that they can hold more regular fireworks launches (more wind conditions) and, I think, to keep more of the park open during shows.

When are the summer fireworks (historically?) we are planning to try to see them on a July 1st.

I hadn't really heard of the Frozen fireworks until now. Were they only in summmeerrr?

I was at WDW last Halloween - hope I didn't miss out on them!

Do special DHS fireworks ever last through Nov? I'm looking at early Nov for my next visit.

I would think they would at least keep fireworks during all the construction going on now...

Yes the Frozen fireworks were only during the Frozen summer fun event and we're done last year. The new Star Wars fireworks are coming and as it looks for now, they will be around in November

Question?
If toy story closes for the fireworks, does it reopen if there are extra magic hours?

They close the rides usually an hour and a half prior to the fireworks. And if there's EMH, the rides will reopen when the cast members are ready.

Prior to them reopening however, lines are usually formed for Toy Story and the great movie ride near the middle of the park. So keep an eye out for that

[Edited] I don't recall EMH events with DHS in my last 3 visits; so maybe CAS239 has encountered this.

I'm looking in August and park closes @ 8 with Fantasmic @ 8:30. I ended up just making 6pm dinner reservations (@ boardwalk) and hoping to make it back in time if there's fireworks. Or having to adjust dinner time. Its so hard to plan when things are up in the air!!!

We will be in WDW May 22 to June 4. Checking the schedule, it looks like the Star Wars Fireworks will not be going on then. We would love to see them. Any chance of them extending them?

I know its not the same but you can catch both the Frozen fireworks and the current star wars fireworks on UTube
