Will Free Dining be the deciding factor in going to Disney this year?

We weren't planning on Disney this year after going the last 3 years as DVC members(since sold) and using the DDE discount card as AP holders(which have since expired), but we just may go in September IF Disney does Free Dining.. so who is our the same boat as us???

Our fingers are crossed there will be a big announcement in April. If not, we'll likely be looking into cruises or all-inclusive resorts, or maybe December at WDW. But definitely no fall trip for us without free dining. (Crossing fingers tighter.)

No trip this year but now that DH knows about the WDW triathlon, next Sept. might be an option.

Where's the "no free dining might encourage me to go" ... fewer people, easier reservations......

If they offer free dining we'll go in September for 10 days. If not, we'll go in October but we'll stay offiste for two weeks in a Skyauction condo and we'll likely spend 1/2 of our time at Universal and Islands of Adventure.

We're going to try to swing it anyway, but free dining would make it easier on our bank account. We were planning to take my parents this year and that jacks up the food bill substantially. We might find ourselves doing some *gasp* off-site dining. Hear that Disney? I hate to say it, but we might even stay off-site if it comes down to it. I know, I know, terrible thing to say, but I have to work within my budget.

We were planning on going regardless but if we had to purchase the DDP then we would've stayed at a mod instead of AKL. But since then we were able to get the 40% code and purchase DDP w/ it and it's a bigger savings for us than free dining. We ended up w/ 3 adults 1 child w/ 6 nights at AKL w/ 6 day base tickets and DDP for $2489.99.

Doesn't matter to us.
We've already got our trip booked for late July-early August & we're not changing it no matter what (BCV ).

I don't think we can get free dining anyway because we're DVC members...but no way are we changing our trip anyhow.

We're going either way but we will trade off a few of our Table Service choices for Counter Service to stay within budget.

If Free Dining comes out then we'll be there in August. If not we'll look for AP discounts or any other deals that might come out. If nothing then we may not go until next year.

If free dinning isn't offered we will not be going in September as I am tentatively planning. Instead we will wait and go the beginning of December when the weateher is cooler.

We will still go. We gotta go to WDW every year!!! If there is no free dining though, we will be staying at Summer Bay Resort a few miles down the road in Kissimmee, it is a wonderful time share condo we were willing to give up ONLY for the FOOD!!!

we had the free dining last september and loved it - were planning on going to the same restaurants anyway, but seemed to taste better for free! - this coming trip we're paying for the DDP since we'll be there the end of october - still worth it at $38/person - but that free dining was really great!
