Will FP+ disappear if change resorts?

Here's the scenario. Our family and DW's parents are booked in two GF rooms for an 8 night Sat-Sun stay. DW's parents however have put in with RCI and will probably switch to a 1BR AKV if it comes up, and stay there Sat-Sat on points, keeping the final Sun night at GF. We will stay at GF for the duration.

If we all book our FPs together at the 60 day mark, and they later swap from GF to AKV for Sat to Sat, but keep the Sun GF day, will their FP+s remain or disappear? Will they need to then link both the RCI AKV and the GF reservation to MDE? If the RCI villa comes up before our 60 day mark, can we get a Disney reservation # from RCI to link and use for Sat - Sat? We are not going to a park the final Sun, so guessing we won't need the additional MB they might send them for the last night at GF.

Does that make sense?

Sounds pretty confusing, but fastpasses are linked to the ticket.

Sounds confusing but I would say yes your FP+ ressies will disappear. That is based on some of the things I've read on the board, not my experience.
The FP is supposed to be linked to your ticket but I just don't trust Disney's IT group to keep it straight if you start switching resorts after booking FP.

I honestly would keep all resort ressies as is and not change them if you already have FP booked.

I'm in a similar situation (just not linked with anyone) and was coming here to post my question, so I thought I'd just piggyback off yours!

We are currently booked at a value resort (room only) and I already have our FP+ worked out. Considering changing to a 1 bedroom, possibly an offsite location, and I'm concerned if I will lose our FP+ ressies. It seems like they should be linked to the tickets, but who knows. I sure hope it all works out for everyone!

I did this yesterday. I switched resorts and had fast pass plus linked to friends who are traveling with us, We changed our resort but our friends did not. There was no problem all fast passes stayed the same.
