Will ticketing issue us plastic cards to use for that one day,
or must we wear a Magic Band that they will
link the 1-Day ticket to?!

Our APs expire on Nov. 24th; we are attending the Candlelight Processional on the 25th.
We decided to buy the Peak 1-Day Epcot ticket.
I thought that regardless if guest uses the Plastic Card ticket or a Magic Band to enter the Park,
that the ticket must be linked to MDE.

We would not have to book any FPs, as we have the CP Dining Pkg @ the Biergarten, then the DVC Merry Mixer, then the CP itself, with Illuminations right after the 8:15 CP performance.
And the Holiday Storytellers, & the Voices of Liberty performance for earlier in the day.

It may be helpful to have the ability to FP Illuminations,
but FPs could not be booked until after we purchase our 1-Day tickets that morning.
And Illuminations FPs might be unavailable, anyway, @ that point.

If you buy your one-day tickets ahead of time online (just make sure to select the correct date you'll visit for the tiered pricing), you can still book FP+ ahead of time for Illuminations, and just get the tickets from us on will call. Or if you've already got MagicBands or cards linked to your MDE, they'll just be on that media and you don't have to come talk to us at all.

That said, plenty of people buy one-day tickets at the gate and use the plastic cards without linking to MDE. They book FP+ at the kiosks, if they bother at all.

Some ticket booth CMs (like me) will help you link a card or MagicBand to MDE if we're not busy, even though we're not really supposed to. Others don't know how the app works at all and can't help with that even if they want to.

Thank you very much, @ravenclawtrekkie . Your help on the Dis is always appreciated!
I rely on the Dis, as DVC Member Services won't give me the correct answer on important things :(

I had asked if the APs were good for 365 days, or 366 days,
back in 2015.
I was told 365. I asked to verify for sure. I was put on hold, & the answer was, " I was told it is only 365 days".
I trusted their answer, and we activated our APs for our 2015 Trip,
based on that incorrect info.

Anyway, just one of the reasons why your expertise as a Ticket Booth CM is appreciated :)
