Will DVC Sell Us a Small Add-On at a Different Resort?

Dh and I own at VWL, and have done one small add-on there. We're interested in buying a small amount of points (85 or so would be perfect) at BCV to allow us to stay there every other year.

Will DVC sell these to us (I assume we'd have to go on a wait list), or would we already have to own at BCV to be able to purchase such a small add-on?

Yes DVC will sell you an add on at any of the resorts without a problem as long ad=s they have inventory for the property.

Through Disney, it's $85 per point at any of the resorts other than Sarasota. No closing, an d you get to book right away and not wait for ROFR.

Amy you are put on a wait list for those points at BCV - and you could be on it a long time - ask your guide - but if he says a year or more - I would go look at resalers - they don't almost post their smaller contracts - so contact a couple of them.

First off, it's now $89 per point for sold out resorts through DVC, this new pricing structure just went into effect in Early August. Second DVC now has a new waitlist policy. You just have to give a credit card to get on the wait list, but your card is not charged until the points are available. I got on the waitlist the first day it was in effect, and it took less than one week for me to get 150 BWV points. With the new waitlist being computerized, my guide said they are using it during the ROFR process, and will use ROFR to satisfy the list. You probably wouldn't be on the list too long, but I'd also call the resale companies and let them know what you're looking for. You never know who will come through first!!!!

In addition, DVC will allow you to purchase add-ons as small as 25 points. They do not need to be in increments ending in 5 or 0- 26, 27, 84, 73 are all acceptable for an add-on regardless of the resort (based on availability thru DVC, of course!)
