So, I made and ADR for dinner at Boma on our animal kingdom day and I'm just wondering if you think my hubby may like it? I enjoy all types of food and am not very picky so I know I'll like it but my hubby can be rather picky. He's a meat and potatoes kind of guy, plain and simple. He likes steak, chicken and basic sides, nothing too out there. Do you think there will be things that he will enjoy? Thanks!

I have had to cancel my Boma breakfast and dinner ressies for the last 6 trips or so because DH was not "feeling" the menu. On our trip earlier this month I was determined to at least get him there for breakfast, he LOVED IT so much we went back a second time that trip. Now he cannot wait to have dinner there in Oct.

My husband is a meat and potatoes guy too and he likes Boma. There's a steak dish that he likes (a little too spicy for me) and I love the chicken. The salads are good and it was recommended that you combine two of the dressings and it works great. Also remember that there are the basic "comfort foods" like mac and cheese. It's called a kids buffet but anyone can eat off of it.

The trick to Boma is to not look at the explanations of the food. Just look at the food itself.

We love Boma! They always seem to have enough food for "picky" eaters, but alternatives for more adventurous eaters, too. Nothing there is really unusual (no BBQ water buffalo, or anything!)

We love Boma, and I'm fairly picky.

They've always had rotissere-type chicken, salmon, pork, and I think prime rib when we've been there, the "potatoes with afritude" are pretty much cut up, cooked (not sure if baked or what), red potatoes, they have mac & cheese, veggies, etc.

Let me just say, I had the same concerns when I made an ADR for Boma at the beginning of April. My DH is very much the same - a meat and potatoes kinda guy.
But we went anyway because I just had to find out for myself what all the hype was about. After dinner my DH looked at me and said, 'so when are we coming back again?!' He loved it! And yes, we already have our ADR for our trip in September...

If your DH is anything like mine, I'm sure he will enjoy it too!

My DH is definitely a meat 'n potatoes kind of guy, but he agreed to try Boma since we are staying at AKL and I told him (repeatedly) about all of the wonderful reviews and pictures that have been on these boards. Glad to hear that others with meat 'n potatoe guys have had such good experiences.

After seeing the amazing photos of the breakfast, I couldn't control myself and immediately added an ADR for breakfast on our last day. Hopefully, it will ease the pain of leaving just a little.

Well....they DO serve meat and potatoes ;)

My DBF is also strictly meat/potatoes, mac & cheese, PB&J type. So he ate mainly off the kids buffet and loved it, but got to try other stuff as well. He preferred the basics still though. :confused3

I love ethnic cuisine and always try new things so it's a great restaurant for both of us. I have to admit, I had my share of their oh-so-yummy chicken fingers too! Darn it, I just made myself hungry!

The simple answer is does he like soup and dessert if so he'll LOVE IT.And they erve meat and potatoes too lol daveb

I love meat and potatoes, and I love to eat at Boma's

We tried Boma for the first time in September and we loved it:goodvibes The buffet has plenty of variety for everybody's tastes:thumbsup2 Our oldest DS is a picky eater and he had no trouble finding things to eat there;)

DH and I were a little afraid also, but it turned out to be one of our favorite meals. We both choose different items and were both happy.
