Will DCL Raise drink prices and what is next perk to go?

There is one near the Walt Disney theatre, the gift shop, which has lots of options and some aren't that bad of a deal. The movie theatre is kind of out of the way especially on the classics, not sure what they could do there.

They could have a rolling merchandise cart like in the parks - branded with the new candy store stuff. They could also roll it up to the deck parties.

That might be kind of cheesy, it would remind me of a local parade where they find the most uninterested people to wheel the carts down the street, or worse a scary clown lol.

I have only been to the parks once, 13 years ago, and I don't remember seeing the carts.

Do you really think they're going to leave the free ice cream when they add Venelope's to the Dream?

Considering what most cruise line workers get paid, I have absolutely no problem whatsoever with increased gratuities. We've always tipped beyond the required amount.

We have, too, unless the service from that person was bad. Yes, we've had bad service with DCL before. ;)

How about just add the "required" tip to the cruise price and pay them a decent base pay?...then a gratuity is just that: a gift of money, over and above payment due for service, as to a waiter or bellhop; tip.

The crap soft-serve? They better. People will lose their fricking minds.

I would bet they are designing Vanellope's so that the free soft-serve, while still available, greatly pales by comparison.

For example, it's replacing the Arr-cade, right? Directly outside Cabanas? What kid is going to walk by that coming out of lunch and then walk catty-corner to the other side of Deck 11 and happily settle for plain old chocolate/vanilla/banana soft-serve in a plain old cake cone?

A kid that is told they can spend their own holiday allowance on it, funny how they suddenly don't want to spend their own money!

Fair enough, but I'll bet DCL is counting on most parents caving in.

Honestly, other than the Autograph thing and the Booze rule (which weren't actually 'perks', but just things Disney let people get away with until they were overly abused), I haven't noticed any significant drop in service? Sure the prices have gone up, but that's just life. The way people are going on about it, you'd think DCL handed you a mop and asked you to clean the atrium before you can go to your stateroom in the brig and row your way to Castaway Cay.

Key word is yet! You just have to be resourceful. Everybody knows somebody that knows somebody. :rotfl2:

Believe you me, if I thought I knew somebody who knew somebody over there, I would have been all over that like white on rice.

I agree with you, but I may be biased as I don't really drink and the autograph thing wasn't something we did. Still, I think there's something to be said about the phrase "death by a thousand cuts".

How does the policy o2 2 bottles of wine or 6 beers work for 'sensible drinkers' on a PC or TA cruise?
Find a non drinker on line and ask them to bring the wine on board for you:) if you observe folks being judgmental, that could be a great clue:)). That's our new plan to have 5 bottles of wine for a 7 day cruise.
Good luck

If they are as judgmental as some I have seen recently they certainly wouldn't help!pirate:
