Will CRT cause us to Start too Late?

We are planning on going to CRT first seating for the Princess Breakfast.

Will we wind up getting to the rides too late to beat the crowds at Thunder Mt. / Splash Mt.?

it will depend on your party. if you have small children you might be w/the crowds. if you are a party of older children, teens or just adults, then you should be out before the park opens. we were out before the park opened in december and was able to take advantage of some of EE.

I think irregardless the breakfast will be worth the delay. At best it shouldn't be more than a minor delay. Have fun!!

Even if you are a little bit behind schedule, just pick up a fast pass. Then you can enjoy something else in the area and it might help you catch up on the day.

One time we had a PS for 8:10, I think. At 8 am when we were let in, we made a b-line for the castle, and were seated right away. We ate, DD met all of the princesses, and we were at the rope drop when Fantasyland opened at 9 am. It was like having Fantasyland to ourselves -- no lines until about 10:30 or so.

If you have the first seating you should be done eating (unless you really linger) before the ropes drop at 9am. Unless this is an Early Entry day, which change things. We had an 8:10 am, were done with eating, autographs, and pictures and were waiting for the rope to drop in Fantasyland on our first CRT. On our next trip our CRT was 8:05 am (first of the morning). We lingered a bit more over our bkfst and got into Fantasyland by about 9:10am.
It should work fine for you. They (the CRT CMs) are experts at getting people in and out quickly!! And since the bkfst choices are only two, there is not a lot of "menu scanning" time wasted!............P
