We've stayed at Poly for the last 4 years, and have never stayed at a mod before. Last year I retired from my full time job after 20 years, and until we had a good idea of where things would be financially, we just couldn't swing Poly.
I just set my mind to a place where I said, "I need to be grateful that I can go, and not set myself up for disappointment".
That said, it's different. I missed Poly very much, and fortunately, this year we are able to go back. I knew we would be able to return to Poly someday, hopefully for your family the same is true. Try to concentrate on the fact that at least you are able to go.
It's a nice resort, just not the same for us. The walk to the pool from where we were was very far, quick food selections not so hot, the fancier restaurant just ok, long walk from our room to just about everything including bus stop, rooms smaller with sporadic cell phone/wi fi service. There are differences aside from the obvious (location).
Bottom line, I was glad I could go as opposed to not being able to go at all. Hopefully you can get back to Poly soon!
