We ordered our AP's through the DVC site and printed off our confirmation. It says we will receive will call certificates. Based on info on another thread we called MS and they said we will not be receiving a will call cert. like the confirmation said. Just bring the confirmation to any ticket window and we will get our AP's". Now I am all confused.

Did this happen to anyone else and were you told the same thing?

I was told to take my confirmation email to Guest Services, we'll be there on Sunday so I'll let you know how it works.

Hi,

All you need is your confirmation # and of course an I.D. and you can pick up your AP at any window or front desk of any onsite disney resort.

Sue

We got our AP's from Guest Services at AK yesterday morning. I had a copy of my confirmation email when I purchased the tickets, plus another confirmation number they gave me when I called back to give my DVC membership number.

I got a little nervous when they couldn't find my reservation in the system and they asked if I already paid for the tickets or not. After ten minutes or so they finally located the information, apparently it was under the second confirmation number I received but that number was wrong by one number, maybe I wrote it down wrong, who knows. Anyway, we got the AP's and everything worked out fine in the end.

I was told I had to got to a guest service window at the parks or DTD to get my AP. Will the front desk at OKW do this also? I am still waiting for my voucher - ordered Jan 4

Is there any advantage to buying ahead of time when one must still take the confirmation to a ticket window to receive the pass? We would have to go to a ticket window to buy the pass anyway if we didn't pre-purchase.

I also called today because when we purchased it said we would have the certificates in the mail by Jan 19th. When I called the Ticket number the CM said there was a problem with the DVC numbers and the AP's so they did not send any out in the mail. I could either request it to be sent out now or I could Pick it up at the resort or at the gate as long as I had my confirmation email, DVC card and also picture id.

There was a problem with many DVC AP's purchased the first two weeks of 2005, unless you call the phone number on your confirmation and give them your DVC number they will not send your AP's. For this reason we could not get our AP's in time, so we had to take our confirmation email to Guest Services to redeem the AP's.

As far as I know you can only redeem the AP's at the theme parks, not the resorts. They did ask for picture id's, but not our DVC membership cards. We orded ahead of time so we could get a Disney Dining Experience (DDE) membership before we left, you can only get those over the phone and it takes a day or two to process. If it wasn't for the DDE, I would have just got the AP's when we arrived.

I had ordered our APs on 1/4/05 and had to call back last Thursday to provide our DVC number. I was pleasantly surprised to receive the will call certificates in yesterday's mail, so Disney is obviously trying to process these requests quickly.

Do we have to call Disney and get the will calls or can we just bring the email to a ticket booth?. I just don't want to get down there and have trouble.

Per the CM I talked to the AP's are now available at the Resorts...

Well the one I talked to today told me I needed the activated AP, NOT the voucher before I could check in with the AP rate at Port Orleans. And that I could only activate them at Guest Services in one of the 4 parks or in Downtown Disney. This worries me because I'm checking in at 9:30 pm with 3 kids and no DH this time. I don't want to have to hightail it over to Downtown Disney to activate my AP...I was planning on doing that at the Magic Kingdom in the morning.

From past experience this is not the case. We have even not had vouchers when we checked in and planned to buy the APs the next day and we were fine. The CM at check-in just asked that we come by the front desk at some point during our stay to show the AP.

You will be checking in after all of the Guest Services are closed or are close to closing, so I cannot imagine that your voucher and a return swing by the desk with an activated AP the next day won't work just fine.

They are instituting all sorts of new policites at WDW (as we all know) but common sense will still prevail I am sure!

Have a fun trip with your boys!

We don't have a voucher and I called the Disney Ticket office two days ago and was told it would come OR if it didn't to take the email conformation with me and that would be fine. Seems like maybe there is a bit of confusion here, but how can they demand something you didn't receive (especially when so many of us haven't received them). I am sure your email will be fine and you won't have any problems!

Oh, and we have stayed about both the All Stars and Pop in the past. I love them all, but think that Pop does have a cleaner feel because it is newer. I wouldn't pay the extra money for a moderate personally if it didn't have something like a kitchenette to make it worth the extra money.

We will also have a late check in for our March trip, about 9:30 pm, so it would be great if we could get the AP's at the resort. If not, do the guest service windows stay open during the extra magic hours? That would be our next choice.

From past experience, you do not need the AP at check-in. Just make a stop at the front desk after you have purchased to show them your APs.
