I am considering trying to talk DH into a trip since they are reoffering the Free Dining Package. But I am concerned that it will be hard to get AR's during that time since so many will be using the Package. He will be upset if we "lose" the table service benifit because we can't get in anywhere. I know that could book the pkg. , plan the trip and make AR's and if we can't get reservations when and where we want cancel the trip, but don't want to go through that!

Anyone book Free Dining and try to make AR's for Sep. recently? How hard is it looking to get what you need?

Well, if you know what dates you want, why not call Disney and see if they have the restaurants you want available for the nights you are looking for?

I had no problem booking my ressies for September....and I did it weeks past my 90 day time (actually closer to the 60 day mark....only a couple of weeks ago)

Even though they have the free dining, since it is their slowest time, I can't imagine that every TS will be booked. You may not get the ideal time, or might not be able to get a particular night for a particular restaurant, but I am sure that you will be able to get ressies.

I called today to rebook mine and got everything I wanted. LeCellier had no availability for 2, but I called back and asked for a party of 4 and they had it. So I'm guessing there are less small tables available. Anyway, I got all of mine right at or around 6:00 pm, exactly where and when I wanted, so you still have time, but I wouldn't waste any, as I'm sure the most popular restaurants are filling up fast. They aren't totally booked yet though.

The longer you wait the more times and restaurants WILL get booked.

I am sure you will be able to book ARs if you are a little flexible and do not expect to get into a place that gets full 90 days in advance even in periods without free dining.

I am leaving AUG 8th and I made some adjustments last week(about the 24day mark) and there were still plenty of options. Early AUG is usually one of the busiest times of the year.

I'm 48 days out and I just called to add a couple ADRs and had no problems getting what I wanted.

The more popular restaurants are going to be booked regardless of seasonality or free dining. We've been to WDW in September during hurricane Ivan and 'Ohana, Le Cellier, and Sci Fi were still crowded. In fact it was more crowded than the parks (IMO :rotfl: )

There are going to be plenty of ADR spaces. I think the reason Disney opened up the free dining again is because there are still plenty of rooms that need to get filled up, so I think you'll definitely be able to get ADRs. I wouldn't worry too much about it. We've gone during busy seasons before and never had a problem getting our ADRs.

This trip in Sep, the only one we couldn't change was the CRT dinner at 4:50pm and that's probably because it's right on Sep 30 when the Halloween Party is taking place.
