With the rumored tiered pricing increase coming soon, when do you think AP prices will change?

I'm hoping there's no AP price increase. There was an increase only in AP and the restructuring of APs in October. Since regular ticket prices didn't increase then, I'm sure hoping AP won't increase this time. I'm expecting a May or June increase, due to Murphy's Law and the fact that's when my AP is up for renewal, lol.

That was my thought as well. My AP expires in July BUT I am not planning on renewing. I was thinking of purchasing a new AP and just not activating probably till the late Fall.

I'm wondering too, and if AP prices go, by how much? I had planned to buy 7 day park hoppers from park savers.com saving $50 then upgrade to AP when we go in July. Now wondering if I'm better off buying the AP today... Really comes down to whether or not the AP price will go up by more or less than $50.

From what I've been reading, there is no true renewal of the old AP/PAP anymore. You get one of the new kind now.

I'm looking at an AP ticket price chart and all the new AP levels have renewal discounts. And a renewal from the old passes to the new will also give you a discount,at least I got one.

but if you're not going for several months - it is often better to get a new AP - example - we go to WDW in May, Sept and January (most years - bailing on this May due to cancelation of SWW). We buy our APs in Januarys and September - buy one in late January - get that trip; a May trip; a September trip and a trip in mid January the following year - let the AP expire. Buy new AP in late September and have that trip, January trip and next September trip. Renewing an AP would result in 'wasted' / unused months for us.....

and back on topic - they raised the AP prices twice in 2015 - I will be truly annoyed if they raise them again with this price increase.

We did the same with ds pass. He and I were away 2 months and his AP expired at the beginning of our departure. So I waited till we returned to FL and bought a new pass. About 2 weeks later the new AP came out. We were pixie dusted at Guest Services when I went to upgrade his ticket. They did the upgrade to Gold and didn't charge us! Loving the photopass included!

We bought those tickets yesterday we figure it was worth risk. We figure we would still save money even in AP increase in price.
