A friend is now considering the DVC cruise, so that would be 4 in the room. Only one of us wants to use points. That would mean we must have a family room, and it MUST have the wall pull down bed and the sofa bed. How can I find out what rooms we should try for? We want a veranda. None of us women would be happy in an upper bunk.

I think it will be ok for 3 nights.

Assuming you are not looking at concierge level rooms...

Disney Wish stateroom info is available on the DCL website: https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/ships/wish/staterooms-overview/

There are two types of staterooms that definitely have the murphy beds in many or most of their rooms [we won't know exact # until booking is possible and people can figure out which rooms can sleep 5]:

Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom
Sleeps: 4 to 5; Size: 237 sq. ft.
Room Configuration: queen bed, single convertible sofa, upper-berth single pull-down bed and single wall pull-down bed (for rooms that sleep 5)
Category 8B: Deck 8 and 9
Category 8C: Decks 6 and 7

Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah
Sleeps: 4 to 5
Size: Approximately 284 sq. ft., including verandah
Room Configuration: queen bed, single convertible sofa, upper-berth single pull-down bed and single wall pull-down bed (for rooms that sleep 5)
Category 4A: Decks 10 and 11
Category 4B: Decks 8 and 9
Category 4C: Decks 6 and 7
Category 4E: Decks 6, 9 and 10

Now, on the website they also list the Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom as having the single wall pull-down bed in some rooms, but I that would seem to be a mistake as there wouldn't be room for it in the room (look at the pictures they have - where would it go ?!!) ! However, for now at least in the description it does say "Room Configuration: Categories 9A, 9B and 9C: queen bed, single convertible sofa, upper-berth single pull-down bed or single wall pull-down bed (if sleeping 4); Category 9D: queen bed and sleeper sofa". Contrast that with the description for the Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah, which should be essentially the same stateroom but with a verandah, and its description says "Room Configuration: queen bed, single convertible sofa, upper-berth single pull-down bed (if sleeping 4)" which is what you expect for that room type based on the other ships and the pictures they have released.

Going by their description, for the Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah, they will sleep 4 or 5, with the rooms that sleep 5 having the murphy bed.

The "normal" way to figure out which rooms would have the MB would be to do a search for the rooms that hold 5, as they have to have a MB if they are the Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah or Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom. Or call DCL and ask. Once DCL opens online booking people will be able to search and hopefully someone will compile a list.

I've always wonder why some (most?) rooms have the pull-down bed and only some rooms have the murphy bed. To me, it seems like it would make more sense to have each room standardized - or at least be labeled up front as to what capacity it is.

I have often been frustrated that DCL doesn't provide information like room capacity and bed configuration specific to each stateroom with their deck plans or online booking tool. Such useful info to have...

I have been searching for this information since this other friend has asked to come, I hope the cast member who books has the definitive answer when we book.

I think two connecting rooms will be the way to go.

Thank you.
