Will AKV owners be able to rent points in November?

I have read that there may be some wording in the new contracts that keeps AKV owners from renting out points this year. I also understand that reservations can't be made until May 16 anyway. Any AKV owners or DVC vets know?

I am having a hard time believing that. If it were true, I'd have to wonder why some of the members who have already added on there haven't mentioned it. While not all read the POS, many of those who post here do. FWIW, I'm not sure DVC can legally stop members from renting, anyway.

This is true. May 16 is the first day that AKV owners may make reservations at the AKV - for stays beginning September 1, 2007 and later. Members who don't own AKV may begin making reservations some time in June. I don't recall the exact date.

thanks carol. a while back, i thought i saw a post where someone interpreted the 'commercial use' phrase as renting. didn't read much more beyond that.
