We're getting some pretty nasty smoke here in Northern California from various fires in the area and as far north as Oregon. Haven't really dealt with this for at least a couple of years. I've closed all windows but outside it smells like a perpetual campfire.
I have a stockpile of N95 masks, although these were marked with a 2 year expiration date (3M marks theirs with 5 years after manufacturing). I have been doing some reading, where the important part isn't the filter material but the elastic, which might be more vulnerable to breaking.
I guess this is part of life now. It's now about 150 for PM2.5, It was worse around 2018 and 2019.
