Wilderness Lodge Woods View

I was wondering if you could tell me about this view? Does it face MK? We had a standard room last summer so this is small step up for us.

Our woods view several years ago did face the MK - could see fireworks just above tree tops - may have been better had we been a few floors up. We were
facing the otter pond - didn't know it was that till we came home and I saw it here on the boards. We did indeed see the otters.

I prefer the MK side (top of diagram). If you request a high floor room overlooking the otter pond you can sometimes see the MK fireworks. We had room 4016 which was a bunkbed room.

We just got back and had room 6030 and had a great view of the fireworks, Space mountain and the contemporary. We could see the castle through the trees and I think if we would have been just one room to the left or right we would have had a more clear view of the castle. either way we still think we had a great room.

We had a view of trees last year. Nothing special, no view beyond, just plain old trees. I would go in expecting that and if you get something more, be surprised.

I don't think that layout is completely right on the room categories. Our woods view rooms last December were 5162 and 5164 which they show as "courtyard view/villas". We really liked the rooms even though it was a hike to the lobby, because it was very quiet and peaceful (they are as far as you can get from the lobby). That side is the side opposite from the Magic Kingdom. We overlooked a wooded area. From the balcony you could look left and get a glimpse of the lake and also we could see part of the electric water parade. If you looked right, you could see the villa pool and villas. I don't know, but I would think if anything on that side was classified as "Courtyard view/villas" it would be the rooms that are directly across from the Villas which that layout has marked as "woods" - maybe it has those areas reversed? All I know is that our rooms were definitely categorized as "woods view".

As far as i know, all woods view are on the MK side as the other side were being sold as courtyard view since the DVC pool is on that side and of course courtyard is more money than woodsview. Be careful if you request a courtyard view.

I'm a little confused...is the otter pond not on the mk side? I want to request a room but I don't know where, and the otter pond sounds nice! Is that on the same side as the WCC?
