We stayed at both of these recently. It had been quite some time since we stayed at any Disney Resorts.I must say that we thoroughly enjoyed the WL and POR.But our experience at the Beach Club was absolutely dreadful. The front desk was short staffed at checkin and our CM was subbing from another hotel. He didn't know anything and was surly. We had requested queen beds and when we checked in and realized they were not,we were told the hotel was sold out.I did confront the manager the next day.He swore up and down that all the beds were queen sized.I told him that I beg to differ. He refused to back down.My dd came to speak to him and told him about the Un-Disney like attitude of the CM who she spoke to on the phone about the bed situation. It was only then that he started to take my complaint seriously. In the brief period of time between conversations,he magically figured out that in fact, not all the rooms have queen sized bed.Heck,at the prices they charge there, all the beds should be queen sized. The rooms at the WL were way nicer with flat screen TVs as opposed to the old style at the more expensive BC. I met someone else who was at the BC at the same time and she was also displeased with the room and the demeanor of the staff there. We really enjoyed the POR although it was hard to find our room. They could have better building signage.

in order of expensive
POR
WL
BC

so would go with POR - just because it is the cheapest and you might save enough money to return sooner.

otherwise go with WL - since it is your favorite.

I was under the impression that ALL rooms in the deluxes have queen sized beds?! Did you recieve one with two fulls?!

To us it all depends on what we want out of our vacation. POR is the most affordable option and would maybe give us the chance to use the DDP, take tours, shop more, etc. With doing all of those activites, we'd rarely be in our room to begin with, so POR's price tag works well!

We're staying at the BC in September do to the location and pool complex. This is more of a laid back vacation for us, and we're planning on spending a lot more time at the resort and area. POR doesn't really compare in that category to a resort like the Beach Club. We're looking forward to lazy days pool side and nights at the Boardwalk. This is probably one of the few trips where we don't mind stomaching that price tag :scared:

WL seems to be a resort that you heavily favor. I agree that the newer rooms are tempting in themselves. It seems like you had a really great experience there so why not return; easy to find rooms and newer decor.

Everyone has different ideas on how they like to vacation and the resorts that fit their needs and wants. From the sounds of it, I think you should just stick with what your most happy with; the WL. It's not fun checking into a resort with an already negative atttidue about a past stay.
