Our family of 6, 4 adults & 2 children stayed in a 2 bdr this past Dec and loved it there...we had stayed 6 days at the YC on points & the remaining 3 days at the Villas on cash..we overlooked the Mickey DVC topairy as we wanted to be close to the lodge and found it very easy to go from our room to the lodge,ate at RF & AP, both were great,took the boat to MK & some monarail resort for dinners, never took a bus as we had done Epcot,MGM & AK while we were at the YC,loved the quiet pool & the hot tub and just loved the Villas overall...our room was just perfect and I think that anyone who goes there will love it!!Have a great time..Marianne

bunnymkc, When you stayed at VWL on cash, did you arrange it with MS or CRO? What kind of rate do you get as a DVC member? The rack rate? or a discounted rate? is it comparable to an AP rate if you do get a discount?

just curious.

I tried for months to get the old MKC rate talked to it must have been at least 20 CM..i WAS CALLING EVERY DAY...finally got a CM who was wonderful and got a supervisor to help me ( I wrote a letter about her but I forgot her name as I am getting OLD AND FORGETFUL LOL... we finally wound up with an AP rate or manager's special I DON'T REMEMBER!!!...just looked at my passpoter from the trip and I see that I wrote down $349 & $387.39 which I think was the price for the 2 bdrm with taxes...are we crazy or what!!!...but that was split 2 ways so it really is not that much...LOL..have to say that it was worth it as it really was a beautiful resort..my advice is to just keep calling and I called the Disney Club every day....at the time I still could use my MKC as it was ending 12/31 but I had the DC as a back up...if you don't have the DC card call CRO and ask for manager's specials (they go fast), AP'S, upsells or any discount you can get...any other ?'s I will TRY to remember and answer for you...Marianne
