I'm thinking about booking a night at the Wilderness Lodge since we has a breakfast reservation at the Poly (my current reservation is business class at Coronado Springs). I thought it would be convenient, but it doesn't look like there is a ferry that runs that route. Can some one give me some insight on that? Thanks!

You would take the boat to CR, and then the Resort Monorail to Poly. The boats start running at 6:45am, monorail at 7am on a normal day.

If it's a day when the Resort Monorail opens late, there will be buses running in its place.

There is a boat that goes from WL to the Contemporary where you could get on the monorail to the Poly. Another option is to take the boat from WL to the MK and then take the monorail or the launch from the MK to the Poly. A third option is to take the boat from WL to the MK and take the large ferry boat to the TTC and then walk to the Poly from there, or take the monorail. The only direct option would be to take a taxi.

Yes, but neither the launch to Poly nor the Ferryboat would be running for breakfast, unless it's after MK opening. Both start 30 minutes before opening. Also, the Ferryboat often will not take Guests from MK to TTC in the a.m.; I think it depends on the crowd level at TTC.

The OP didn't mention what time she would be having breakfast but yes, if they are planning to eat an early breakfast that will limit their transportation options. Another concern is that check-out is 11am so if they are just staying the one night at WL they either need to be out of the room before heading to breakfast or have an early ADR that allows them to get to the Poly, eat and get back to WL before 11am.

We have done this two or three times now and it has worked very well and gotten us to Poly in time for an early breakfast ADR. They key was making sure we were on that first morning boat.

Thank-you for all the input. Our breakfast is at 7:35 so we will be back in time for check out. We are boarding a cruise that afternoon so we'll have to be on our way.

That is quite early. Be at the dock at 6:45 and take the 1st boat that comes along, even if it's on the way to Fort Wilderness before CR.

Or uber, which would be my choice for the way over to Poly sleep in just a bit, then take the boat(s) back

OP I'd also keep my eye on possibility of later ADR, you can always checkout and leave luggage with bell services

Too bad they didn't have a walking path you could use. That would be much faster than any of the Disney transportation options. I would take Uber or Lyft. Last time we stayed at Wilderness Lodge is took 38 minutes from our room to the front gate at Disneyworld. I could have walked it in less than 20 if that was an option.
