I've never been there, but it looks to be our top choice in July. How is it set up? In other words, we don't like the Contemporary because the Tower is great, but wouldn't like to stay in either of the Garden wings. Is WL like that, or is everything basically connected to the lobby (with the execption of the Villas obviously.)

Try reading the WL thread and I bet it will answer a lot of your questions. It helped me a lot! And the poeple on that thread are very nice and can answer whatever is not already posted there. Here is the link to that thread:

Witht eh exception of the DVC villas there, everything is in one building. DH and I were there two years ago for our anniversary.

We really enjoyed it. Never did use the pool, DH didn't bring his suit!! We had breakfast at WCC twice mostly because we figured with what we paid for breakfast for the two of us at Raoaring Forks for bagels, fruit, and youghert, we may as well have a hot, filling breakfast.

DH really liked the boat rides to the MK and Contemporary. He's so funny, he started singing the song from Jaws every time we were on there. "Hey now I wanna go home, I'm tired and I wanna go to bed, I had a little drink about an hour ago, and it got right to my head. Wherever I may road, o're land or sea or foam" - shark hits the boat. Yes we're dorks. :teeth:

WL is beautiful. It is all one building (the villas are separate). So if it rains at any time, you can stay dry throughout the building.

We have stayed on the villa side three times and once on the MK side, but facing Discovery Island.

Spend some time in the lobby if you can, it is nice. We love it at Christmas.

Boat (and I hear now bus) to MK. Usually the boat is shared with Fort Wilderness. The bus to MGM is usually shared with FW too.

Bus to DTD is shared with Poly and/or GF.

Epcot and AK with FW.

WL is cozy. When we are there, we usually see the same vacationers, at the bus stop or the pool. Makes it feel more homelike.

Are Christmas decorations up at the WL the weekend of Thanksgiving? Just wondering when they are put up at that resort...or any resort for that matter! Thanks!

The decorations are up the week of Thanksgiving and CM's say that they are among the prettiest in DW.

CMs are Cast Members. The people who work at Disney are called Cast Members. We, the visitors, are called Guests. The CMs treat you like you are a guest of theirs :flower:
