We are booked for a standard room at WL starting Saturday. I need to do my room request Tuesday.....what should I request for a room? What floor, etc. We are guarenteed a non-smoking room because I have asthma.

It is just my husband and myself.....should we consider an upgrade or will a standard room be fine?

I've heard that the better views for the standard rooms are those located over the check-in desk. A standard view is generally going to be of the parking lots or roof tops. The standard views on the other side are over Whispering Canyon Cafe and the service area and I've heard that many people feel their balconies are a little noisy and smoky. Since it's just you and your husband you might want a king bed. However, the king rooms usually only have a shower and no tub because they are handicapped accessible.

If you're considering an upgrade, the Woods view is of trees and sometimes you can get a view of the MK fireworks. The courtyard view is a view of the courtyard and pool.

We stayed in a wood's view last time and even though it was great. We weren't in our room enough to really take in the view from the balcony. So, this time we booked a standard to save a few bucks. You will love the WL no matter what room your in. It is just a completely awesome resort!!!
