Hi there! I just upgraded my August trip from POFQ to WL and got courtyard view with bunkbeds (used the AP code... so excited, I have always wanted WL and we have 2 boys, so bunks are wonderful!!!). When I was making the reservation the CM asked me if I had any requests for my room location. Now, I knew EXACTLY where I wanted to be at POFQ, but I am clueless when it come to WL, I have never even been inside that resort. Does anyone have any input as to which courtyard view I shoud request?

Thanks so much!

We really didn't request any type of room when we stayed there in 2003. We were so happy to have to pay 114 per night and couldn't believe it when we were on the second floor with a stone balcony overlooking the pool area. It was wonderful. We were close to the lobby as well as the pool! Sorry I can't help with the room location but ours was wonderful and we only paid for the standard room. If we were upgraded, no one at WDW told us!

Thank you for the fast response... I still can't believe we are staying at the Wilderness Lodge... It was a little more money than our reservation at POFQ but I couldn't turn down the oppurtunity to stay there, especially with bunk beds!

You will LOVE the WL :cool1: :cool1:. We are booked there for our third stay in December because the Christmas decorations are amazing :santa:. The WL is our second favorite resort, after the Poly ::yes::. (although it's a very close second to the Poly :cutie:). Enjoy your stay as the WL is a great resort :dance3:.

Ok... I have been looking at that thread, thanks so much! One question... it looks to me as though some of the courtyard view rooms on the first floor would have a patio (instead of a balcony) right near the pool area. Does anyone know how close to the pool these rooms are? I think it would be great to be so close to the pool and be able to walk out of our room, onto the patio, over to the pool. If they are close, I think I might request ground floor close to pool.

Just a side note make sure you request bunk beds or you could wind up with two queen beds. Unless that would work for you. :)

The rooms with Bunk Beds (Woods or Courtyard Views) are now bookable rooms with an additional cost. The only time you would need to request a room with Bunk Beds would be if you were staying on the 7th floor Club Level.

This is where I stay when I am at the WL & prefer no bunkbeds:rotfl2:

I have a woodview room hope I didn't make a mistake. Wonder if I should change it to a courtyard view??!!

We had a courtyard view - first floor in April. You actually have to take the elevator "down" to the first floor. Our poolview was actually of the people coming & going from the lodge area or Roaring Forks - so it was great to people watch. We could have walked right out to the pool, but decided not to. We had ducks, bunnies and birds on the patio. It was such fun!! For our first stay at the WL it was fantastic!!

We requested "North Building" Pool View for our courtyard view in September 2006! It was amazing!!! I can't remember the exact room number, but I think the last 3 number were 047, 049 or 051 (something like that).

You may want to at least at "Inner Courtyard" to your request since the side that look at the villas are considered courtyard view as well.

I am booked for WL in August too. Sorry for asking but what is the AP code?
