The DW and I took a trip down to the World in September and I am now just getting around to uploading some pictures. I used my Canon 40d and a Tokina 19-35 lens for these pictures.

Very nice, they really capture the tranquility of the lodge. I would like to see them a little larger, there is a lot of detail in there! :)

I always hesitate on posting large file sizes, as it can take a long time to download for people who do not have a fast internet conection.
They are all resized now....

Thanks for the pictures! My DW and I will be there next Sunday for 5 nights. It will be our second stay at WL. Was there this time last year but didn't get near the number of shots I woulod like to have. Your pictures make me even more anxious to get there (if that is possible! :rotfl2:)

Enjoy your trip and can't wait to see some of your pictures!

Thanks, they do look good in the larger size! :) I generally try to limit my images to about 200KB, sizing them to 900 x 600 and whatever compression will get them small enough. 200KB is still a lot for a slow connection, I hope no one has to wait too long for a thread to load!

We will be visiting some friends at WL in about 2 weeks and I plan to bring a tripod this time! :)

I do like the way the pictures came out. My lens used for these was a Tokina 19-35 with my Canon 40D and of course a tripod. This lens does produce some soft images and has lens flare even with a hood, but I did buy this lens on ebay for 60.00, so I can not complain. I did end up selling it for 130.00 on Amazon, when my new Tokina 11-16 arrived.
