Going back down to WL in a few weeks so will post some more pix when I get back!

Had my first solo trip in Feb. and stayed at WL....I fell in love!!!!. I wasn't sure how I felt about staying there as I love to look at palm trees and want a Florida feel b/c I am from New England. However, the WL made me feel so relaxed and peaceful that it was perfect.

We just bought DVC at AKV and this summer our first trip is to BCV. I am planning on trying to stay at VWL in August 2012....it is going to be a long wait!!!! Maybe I can get another solo trip in there at WL to hold me over

Two weeks until we arrive for our 20th Anniversary stay. We spent our honeymoon at Walt Disney World and a couple of years later we spent our first time at the Wilderness Lodge. In our opinion, this is the prettiest most peaceful lodging on the property. We love it.

I love checking these pictures out. Thanks to all for posting. I can't stand having to wait for our vacation in September, staying 9 days at WL. Yahoo!! The kids don't even know yet. I'm trying to figure out how to spring the surprise.

Thanks for all the great photos. Looking forward to our stay in July. Is it a fact that all rooms have refrigerators? Is there a place where you could hot water. Like microwaves in the rooms? Thanks for any help!

All WL rooms have fridges and microwaves can be requested at check-in.

Thank you for your quick response. Love the pic of the Disney plane in your signature. My family & I were really lucky to have flown on that plane when we won a trip to WDW from the Chicago Tribune in 1992. Brings back many memories.

OMG, that is so neat that you won a trip on Walt's plane and flew on one of its last flights, as it was retired in 1992. Many famous people have flown on it - how exciting!

When we went back to WDW and took the backlot tour by boys wanted to know why there wasn't a sign saying we flew on it. We call it "our plane". It was one awesome experience. The pilot told us about some of the famous people that would fly on it. When we landed in Florida they met us with a red carpet laid on the tarmac and the driver who picked us up asked us who we were. We just told him a normal family that was very lucky.

They're directly in front of the lobby. Come out of the front doors of the lobby, cross through the entrance way, and walk down the stairs. Boom! Buffalo. Here's our picture from April.

Thank you so much. I absolutely love your picture and want to make sure I can find it in October. Stayed there a couple of times and just didn't think to ask. We have been going in April for the Flower and Garden event (my favorite) and I absolutely love their creative displays.

My son is in Alaska and I want to send it to him. It is truly a personification of the Wild West.
