Wilderness Lodge Photo Thread- Please feed my addiction!!

We have plenty of photos from our last December trip. DisneyNDecember started this thread requesting photos of the WL. I am totally out of photos of the WL. I would not however highjack her thread unless she requests any photos of WDW be posted.:thumbsup2

If no one would object, I would like to keep this thread strictly for Wilderness Lodge Photos. :lovestruc
We have many threads started for the parks, other resorts, & Downtown Disney, I just thought this would be a GREAT thread for only WL photos, hope everyone agrees. :santa: :santa: :santa:

Keep them coming, I will go crazy with photos when we get back from our
Dec 2008 vacation for everyone to enjoy !!

Just wish we had some more to post to help keep it going.:cool1: I've looked hard and all I have left are probably very close duplicates of ones I have already posted.

Not of any importance though.:sad2: Anyhow this is a flight of stairs between the pool and the back door of the lobby. Or you can walk inside the lodge near the bottom of these stairs and walk up a sloped floor on the inside for anyone not good with stairs.:thumbsup2

You can see the bottom of the stairs above and the proximity to the entry stairs in this photo on the right side.

So jealous! I've never gotten a chance to stay at the Wilderness Lodge. It looks absolutely stunning at Christmas time! Glad to see some of those photos! :santa:

Thank you for this thread! I am absolutely in love with WL, if only we could afford to stay there! I love the look of this resort and hope that one day my family will be able to stay here! Until then I'll just feed my addiction with this lovely thread!

We felt the same way, but this year we said WHY NOT! We normally stay at a value when we go ( twice before ) but since we only go every 2 years we decided to splurge a lil! I LOVE the look of the hotel, my sister has a house that reminds me of the hotel. 2 story log cabin sitting on a hill, on 56 acres in Mississippi...Oh with a view of her own lake..GEEZE!!!!
This is going to be our last DW trip for awhile because DH and myself are going on a Cruise in 2010, sadly it's not a Disney cruise..ONE DAY THO!!!
Please keep the pictures coming! And don't forget Samantha Brown on Travel Channel, SHE IS IN DISNEY! A new show!!!

I am so glad I found this thread. Our last trip in December 2006 was a 20th anniversary trip - was just going to be the two of us but I felt guilty and our girls and 2 friends came along. Needless to say we stayed at ASMu. We had one evening to ourselves which my DH arranged for me as a surprise. We had hot cocoa and cookies delivered by room service to one of the little fireplace spots on the 4th floor and then went for a sleigh ride. It was so beautiful. So when we started planning our next trip I had to bring up staying at WL. and  we are!!

So thanks for all the pictures and for starting this thread.

Hi all! New to this board and I appreciate all the info from reading the threads.

I just got talked into at reservation at WL 12/2-12/6 in a Deluxe Club room. CM told me it was a great deal at $2497.52 for 4 nights no tickets or dining (includes tax). This works out to $624.38 per night. She said this was using a AAA discount. We have 4 adults and 2 babies in party. Doesn't that seem like more then it should be even without a AAA discount? The rate charts show the Deluxe Club room rate to be $505 per night so even adding tax (and I assume an extra adult charge for my 2 children over 17 yrs) it still doesn't sound like a good deal. Or am I missing something?

I could have booked 2 Courtyard View rooms for $2103.76/4 nights or $525.94/night with the AAA discount.

At the time she made it sound like such a great deal to have a Concierge room but would we better off in the 2 courtyard rooms saving $100/night and adding a second bathroom?

I would really appreciate any input or ideas. Thank you in advance!

WOW---not sure what your accomodation goals here are, but that sounds like a TREMENDOUS amt of $$ for four nights...I couldn't imagine paying this kind of money, conceirge, or not!!!!!!

Honestly, I would either do the courtyard views (two bathrooms would be a bonus) or check out the rent/trade boards for a DVC Member who might have a two bedroom for rent!!! That would give you a kitchen, spa tub, washer and dryer and I believe TWO bathrooms...good luck!!

I definitely think that you should talk to someone about renting DVC for that kind of money. Last year we rented points for a 2 bedroom at OKW in June. It was awesome and no where close to that much money.

If you are interested, we rented from a FANTASTIC guy named Bill Randle. He does this for a living, so he can book you anywhere at anytime you want. His e-mail is billagio11 @ gmail.com or bill.knows.disney @ gmail.com.

Pixie dust to you!
