Hi All, I am SOOOO excited..my DD just got a 40% off e-mail:cool1:

I can get a Wilderness Lodge room with a Queen and bunkbeds OR a studio ...the price is the same....which would you all choose and can you tell me the differences??

I don't know anything about this hotel except I hear it is awesome..the rooms are going fast so I need to decide soon.....we are going in October....

It is for 2 adults...Thanks everyone!

We love everything about the WL! We have only stayed in the Villas, which are great, but my cousin stayed in the lodge during our stay. Her room had a queen and bunk beds. It was a bit smaller than the studio, but also a bit more modern (flat screen tv).

I think I prefer the studio. Especially if you have kids, you can use the kitchen to microwave quick snacks etc.

In the studio at the villas, you'll get a queen bed and a full-size sofabed. You'll also get a kitchenette, with a microwave and toaster. Oh, and a DVD player.

Both the Lodge room and the villas have a dorm-sized fridge and a coffee maker. All other amenities are pretty much the same.

Another thing to know. The Villas are in a separate building- connected by a covered walkway- from the main Lodge.
So it's a little quieter over there, but also a little more removed from where you would run down for a quick bite to eat.

You have access to both pools (the Villa's quiet pool and the main pool).
The bus stop is in between the 2 buildings.
The boat dock (for transportation to MK) is a tad closer to the main lodge, but it's not that significant a difference.

Just walking into the lobby is a jaw-dropping moment- you will love it there no latter which room you choose. :thumbsup2

For 2 adults I would go for the villa-studio. You can leave the couch alone and have the kitchenette.

We were in the exact same boat and went with the studio - I hoping it will be a tad quieter, and I figured both the micro and the DVD would be good to have. Still not sure what kinda room requests to make for over there, but I guess I'll figure it out. :confused3

Why are you asking about the queen room with the bunk beds if you aren't taking any children? Is that the only room available at that time. I would probably go with the villa. It would be kinda nice to have a couch and a kitchenette.

Hi all, Thanks for all your responses...I guess I should have clarified that at the time I am going these rooms are all that is available......

decisions.......

I am trying to decide on which Deluxe to stay at as we will probably not be going to WDW again for awhile and this is an opportunity at 40% off to stay in style! The first 2 days we are at the Pop Century 'cause the dates for the discount don't start yet.

Congrats on your 40% off! Thats a great discount..

Is it 40% off room only? All deluxe resorts or WL? Did you already have a reservation booked or were you in the planning and shopping stage with Disney?

Trying to see if people are receiving 40% off if they already either have a vaca booked or already have a 20% discount!

Even if free dining comes out in future, looks like the 40% discount will be better..Would be great if you could take both, but only 1 discount applies..

Any infor would be appreciated!

The studios may be a bit quieter than the lodge itself, but a studio doesn't have a full kitchen, just the villas with one or two bedrooms. I have stayed at the lodge twice in a regular room and it was very nice. My family is not interested in staying anywhere else. The villa will only have a woods view or a view of the villa pool, no view of the courtyard where the Silver Creek Falls, landscaping or geyser are. It is a beautiful resort.

Hi Jerseygal, Thanks ! My DD and I are so excited about this..we have definatly been blessed with fairy dust:lovestruc

My daughter is 25 and lives 2 hours away from me. We planned this visit and I ordered the DVD. In November I got a 20% discount by e-mail so I booked the Pop Century. I told my daughter to sign up online for DVD 'cause you never know...she laughed and said don't be greedy! Anyway, lo and behold, she got an e-mail for 40% off:yay: :yay:

I received my code Nov 12/07 and DD received hers March 4/08 which coincidentally is my birthday!!!

The code is for room only but according to CSR's I can add tickets and dining at regular price.

As of now we are booked at the Port Orleans but are looking at Wilderness Lodge but have decided to keep calling to see if a regular room becomes available. I can't quite swing the rate with studio or bunkbeds as it is quite a bit more than a standard view lodge rate. According to CSR each hotel blocks off a certain number of rooms for discounts and when they are gone they are gone...so for now I have to just keep calling and see if there is a cancellation.

I will send pixie dust your way and hope for a discount for you:)

Thanks to all for info...it sounds like Wilderness Lodge is great!

Sorry, didn't totally answer your question. It is for ALL hotels, if they are available, as there are only so many rooms blocked off for discounts. I had a reservation already booked, my daughter didn't. I have been to Disney 4 times my daughter once.
