Wilderness Lodge New Room Category - Nature View

I know this post is old but I wanted to see if anyone has stayed in one of these rooms? The Nature View has a view of either the woodlands or the Villas so doesn't that mean they face away from the MK?
The one thing to realize, there is only one wing left for non Villa rooms at WL. The rooms will be across from each other and either face in or out
Courtyard faces in toward the pool. These won't be able to see the cabins (what they are calling the Villa)
Nature or woods face out. All the rooms on this side have some degree of tree or nature views and they are across the hall from the courtyard rooms. Some of these rooms are considered standard because they have views that are more parking lot or service area, little woods view. Some are all Nature views. These are the ones that also have views of the CR and can see fireworks. And have better views of the Villa/cabins

thanks. This is very helpful. We booked a Christmas trip on a whim last week and that is what was available.

Ok............so this puts a new wrinkle on my summer discount strategy. We booked a Standard View room prior to the new Nature view. Like many we were hoping for a view of the MK.......but that may not happen. I was hoping to upgrade to the Poly (hoping) when the summer discounts arrived but with this new view............we could have another option? Maybe more than one. So with sad news comes some alternatives..........in my mind we win either way............we're staying at WL for sure.............and maybe the Poly! That's a "no lose" scenario for me :)

We actually had it booked for Nov 2104 and then learned that the pool would be closed for construction. So we moved to GF. Loved it, but I still want to stay at WL. We will arrive Christmas Day!

It's gotta be better than the dumpster view!

That is exactly the view I got in a Woodsview room!

Next time we stayed there, I had Woodsview again, and that one overlooked a scum covered pond. :rotfl2:

I have the nature view booked in June. Would you mind giving me you opinion on what room to request for a great. view. We are new to WL. Thanks!

So which floors have standard view? And where are they located?
Hard to say since I'm not sure exactly what makes a room Standard and what makes it Nature since all the rooms on that side have trees to one degree or another (or Nature, in my definition) in the view outside the window. I know the rooms that are over the main lobby end of the resort are over the service areas and/or staff parking areas so they are probably the standard ones, the lower the floor the more obvious the service area will be. We had a room over that area but on an upper floor and it was still pretty obvious so I'm not sure I'd consider that a Nature view room, even though trees were very visible if you looked straight out, and didn't look down. No idea what it's official category will end up being, our stay was when they didn't have the 2 different categories

That's a long answer to say, even if you get a room that they call Nature view, you may come away with an opinion that it's really pretty Standard. I think it's an odd classification to put in at that particular location.

Did they remove all the bunk beds from this room category? We stayed on this side of the resort 2 years ago and had a bunk bed room on a higher floor, but now I don't even see bunk beds mentioned in the room description. My boys don't have bunk beds at home, so this is quite the treat for them when we visit.

We are here now and were upgraded from standard to nature view on the third floor (which was not an option when we booked). The room has bunk beds, and a beautiful view over the otter pond and the cabins. We have a nice view of the fireworks but can’t really see the castle.
