I havn't been on much because of wedding planning...unfortunately we are not having a WDW due to family...

BUT we are still hm there!

I was wondering if you could help me o ut... we were sent this information
All Honeymoon Suites have one king-size bed, bathroom with whirlpool tub, table and chairs, ceiling fan, vanity area with two sinks and private balcony. Sleeps 2. All suites are non-smoking. Amenities include DVD player, in-room safe, voice mail, high-speed data port, robes, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, coffeemaker and refrigerator. A crib is available upon request. The Honeymoon Suites offer a view of woodlands. Some also have a view of Magic Kingdom® Park. The Old Faithful Club offers Club Level services, including welcome gift, advanced Walt Disney World® Resort Itinerary Planning service, personalized Front Desk and Concierge service, evening turndown service with chocolates, secured key access to Club Level floors, exclusive access to Club Level Lounge with coffee, tea, beer, continental breakfast, midday snacks, evening wine and cheese and evening cordials and dessert, complimentary Health Club access, weekday newspaper delivery of USA Today, complimentary fax assistance and an opportunity to book and experience Wildlife Discovery Excursion at Disney's Animal Kingdom® Park.

Does that mean that the continental breakfast snacks etc is included? I wasn't sure about this and if it is then thats a deal breaker...

Yes, they are included. The honeymoon suites are on the concierge level at the WL. There are only 4 of them and they overlook the lobby area. We are actually staying in one in a few weeks. I will post a few pics when we get back.

I have stayed in one before and yes it is considered club(concierge) so the food and itinerary planning etc is included.

Other input:
  • You want to request MK side because only two face the castle and the other two HM suites do not.
  • They have privacy balconies(solid partion) so you will have to stand to see anything.

  • The tubs are huge and in the room itself, not sepreated off. Quite cozy.

When we took the Lodge Tour with Ranger Stan a few years back, he told us that they actually had a special salad named after the honeymoon suites. They named it the "Lettuce alone". I am sure that Stan has told that line to all the tour takers

I was very disappointed in the layout of the honeymoon suites at WL. The WL is my favorite resort and we planned on staying there for our wedding which was at the Boardwalk. I was able to tour one of the rooms a few months before our wedding. The room is pretty plain and the jacuzzi tub is included in with the shower, not separate like the ones in DVC. I'm so glad I got to tour and saw the room so I changed our reservation to a garden suite at the Boardwalk, much better and larger than the honeymoon suite at WL.

The WL is a fantastic resort and the concierge service is very good that comes with the suite.

Wait...if the snacks ARE included, it's a deal breaker? Why? :confused3 I'm assuming that's a typo...

Here is what I can tell you. We stayed in a Honeymoon Suite back in 2001 when we got married at WDW. We LOVED our stay there, and thought the room was just perfect. However, at that time, the lodge had JUST instituted concierge, so it was in the very, very early stages of existence, and there wasn't even a separate room for the food/drinks. There also wasn't really any seating out in the hallway to eat. You basically had to take the food back to your room to eat, so the rooms had extra tables/chairs for that. Also, back then, the price for the honeymoon suite was $265/night...in peak season! So, I am basing my opinion on what I believe was an EXCELLENT value for the price we paid (and we got one free night because when you do a WDW wedding, you wedding night is "free"). So, that being said, I am not 100% sure I'd stay in one at today's current prices. I think there are better suite options out there and here is why:

1. As mentioned, only 2 rooms have a good view of the MK. We happened to get one of these rooms and the view was magnificent, but if you are not so lucky, you will be looking at rooftops of the WL Villas. :sad2:

2. Since they have added seating for the concierge area, they have included a "children's seating area", complete with a t.v. that plays cartoons and a little couch, for the kids to sit at while they eat (presumably, very early breakfast). This seating area is DIRECTLY OUTSIDE the honeymoon suites. Talk about bad planning. You'll have to listen to cartoons starting at 6am everyday, and potentially loud children right outside your door....on your honeymoon.

3. The room is small. Ok, it's fine for 2 people. It's "cozy", some will say. But, in reality, it's small for the price, and the oversized furniture inside does not help the matter.

If it was me, I'd consider, in this order:

1. Garden Suites at BWI
2. Honeymoon Suite at Polynesian
3. Turret Suites at GF
4. Lagoon View Concierge King bed Room at YC (non suite)
