Wilderness Lodge Fishing Excursion?

Has anyone ever done this? What was it like? Are you allowed to take children with you just to hang out & watch?

DH and DD went on fishing excursion that picked them up at the Polynesian and took them over to the CR to fish. They had a fantastic time- caught over 20 bass. They were picked up at 7AM and returned 2 1/2 hours later. The total cost was $225 which included tax and live bait. The cost included up to 4(5?-can't remember)people. DS did't want to fish so he and I slept in, but the cost would have included us if we had gone. The guide that they had was terrific. I think there are different fishing "plans"- some the cost is pp, others per boatload. This was definately the highlight of the trip for DH and something we'll all do again.

We did the Wilderness Lodge fishing excursion last year. Although I don't fish, I went along for the ride (and to get some first rate photos of the early hours of the Magic Kingdom).

My husband had a great time! His guide was a man who retired down to Florida several years prior (his wife also worked at WDW) but I cannot remember his name. He knew all the 'good' spots to catch fish, so we went around to several of them. Hubby caught lots of fish and had alot of fun.

My favorite part of the trip: seeing all the 'hidden mickey's' in the sand at the Wilderness Lodge dock!
